My all time favorite band is three days grace. Next would be evanesence, red hot chili peppers, then maroon 5.

There is no absolute doubt in my mind that Led Zeppelin is one of the best, if not best, band.

the OP made a comment about older and newer bands - older bands are often considered in posts like this because they've stood the test of time - at the same time a lot of newer bands bring something particularly unique to music - an extra "whatever it is, it's GREAT" for that - looking at impact on newer rock and roll, I'd have to say Rage Against The Machine and Pearl Jam Older Music - Led Zepplin and Van Halen are the best bands ever produced for SOOOO many reasons....

It is certainly a subjective topic but I would say that Nirvana rank up there for me as well as The Offspring but that's because these bands shaped my childhood I guess haha

The Rolling stones, they have lasted forever and have changed with the times, not that was always a good thing. But given the test of time the songwriting,showmanship, composing and fact that they played blues to counrty to rock to pop is something no other band can say.
