my child was taken form cps, but they over looked my situation i was forced into a relation ship that i thought was ok then i found out after it was to late that this guy was gang related drug abuser alcholic i felt threatned so i did what they did the drugs and all, now iam a way from that i feel that i can tell the truth what should i do to get my child back

I wish i could tell you something but all i know is cps in Indiana or at least where my son lives sucks. It's ok for his dad to smoke pot in the same room as long as he doesn't give it to my son(which has asthma due to 2nd hand smoke) and it's ok for my ex to drink and drive with my son in the car and no seatbelt(which is against the law now) as long as my ex doesn't get pulled over.

that is really messed up, in my case i dont know who to talk to cause i feel safe enough to tell people but i dont know who to tell i want my son back and i lost him cause of the man i was with and the people that were there

have you tried calling your local police department? I know that sounds odd to ask but you might get some info from them.

there comes a point where you have to take responsibility for your OWN actions...a child should never have been in such a place, and they were right make the removal.

once you can say, "i screwed up"...then go and get you a lawyer. you'll never get your kid back without going to court...many times. make certain you are in a stable environment, off of drugs, away from bad influences...and have a source of income to support you both.

expect to be in court for a couple of years, with regular check-ups and visitations...and regular court-appearances.
