We are cleaning up the mess now. Kitty got into my aloe vera plants. Oh, my poor babies. Dirt all over the floor. I cleaned out the vacuum cleaner so Kathy could use it. Michelle, out friend, said we need to put gravel on the top. I moved the plant on top of a tall book shelf. It seems Kitty prefers wet fresh dirt with sand in it to dry kitty litter.

gravel is just bigger cat litter. i use rocks the diameter of golf balls or larger, works great. they won't dig in rocks. |

Exactly what I was going to suggest. Sorry about your poor plants, hope they recover.

I will try the bigger rocks. Not really hard to find since I live in Arkansas. We are so blessed. Actually I think it is a blessing and a curse as Jane Curtain said to Jill Radner in that Saturday Night Live skit in trying to explain menstruation to her daughter. The big rocks I have in my yard are not lawnmower friendly. I have given up trying to talk reason to the cat. The dumb cat just can't understand the difference of a rectangular kitty litter box and a flower pot that is round. It makes logical sense to me but I think am starting to believe that my cat just isn't into scientific reasoning.
