Anyone else a fan of the original Being Human? I absolutely love the show.

(No, not the North American remake... I'm actually not very fond of it.)

Yep, a definite fan.

Loved and mostly watched all of series 1.

Been watching it on and off ever since - keep meaning to watch it online but haven't got round to it yet.

Watched the first of the new series 3 last week - not sure whether it's because I've missed so much...and it's early days yet but I miss the original characters...will have to wait and see how this new series develops.

I think you mean series 4.
Series 3 still had the original cast (plus one promoted to main character).

British series are dangerously habit-forming. The actors know how to act, there is no dramatic background music, and the story is presented without spoonfeeding. There are no scenes with inexplicable no-show background. A lot of US shows show the actors, and a table, and the rest of the scene is washed into a nondescript brown oblivion. Hate that. And the Spielbergesque dramatic music -- 00 if you ask me. And... and... the fact that nothign in a series makes me want to hang my disbelief on the hook for the duration of the show.

I was first addicted to a Brit series that plays out in a disctrict called Midsommer Murders. The area has a population of a few thousand people, and includes the villages of Carston, Whitchurch, and others, but due to the high incidents of commissions of intricately elaborate murders the county or bezirk is called "Midsommer Murders". The per capita civilian-motived murder rate is higher there than in Detroit, New York, and Mngabishu, combined.

But the real reason I could never put down the tv when that show was on is the occurrance of at least on really, but really, good looking woman in her forties, fifties or sixties. I know I like older women, and these ladies certainly cater to my production of bodily evil juices that find an escape at nightfall from the system.

Can't say that I was an avid watcher of midsummer murders but I did catch a few when John Nettles was in it but was thinking Bergerac whenever I saw him.

It's funny how you always associate some actors with the programmes that they have been regardless of whether they've moved on

i've not seen the UK, original, of being human.
but i love my US version, i have a major crush on aidan :)
they do say that copycat is the highest form of flattery,
so for that, i'm sure the UK version rocks.

I loved it, don't get to see it any more. It's uploaded online but it's not available to watch here in the Republic.

I haven't watched the American show though, I know it won't be the same just like ''Shameless'' the UK one is brilliant I never miss an episode. I tried to watch the USA version but it was just weird :O

That's a shame, not getting to see it.
I've been meaning to give the American one a try, but I always end up passing on it.

Not sure what to make of this past series... very conflicted.
I feel like the Series 4 finale was the worst episode (which for Being Human is still better than most shows) yet, at the same time, I have high hopes for Series 5 because of how things are set up.
