I just finished reading this entire thread. Wow!
I am heavy set, but there are reasons. I carry my weight fairly well and no one would ever guess my true weight (that might be a good thing, lol).
Due to depression issues and one important thing, DEPROVERA shots, it makes it a little difficult to lose. For over two months, I was without a car, I had to walk everywhere I went. I walked between 5-10 miles a day, every day, and yet, the weight didn't come off. I don't eat sweets, I don't indulge in donuts, cake (which I can't stand), or any other so called fatty food. I don't fry foods, I bake or boil them. I eat salads, fruit, etc.
I have been married three times, and have had several bf's over the years, none have complained about my weight. I am the one that complained and each told me, it was my choice.
I am who I am, that's all there is. I would love to lose the extra weight, but for the moment, it is not easy. I am working on it. My only shot at it is to quit the shot and decide not to have sex again, lol. (I am also taking the shot to keep my hormones in check, off it, I get a little screwy).
Has anyone else had the same problem being on the Depo shot?
Basically, if I can accept me for who I am and what I look like, why can't you?

OOPS, I meant have......and Sweet, I have to take hormones too. No shots but the weight came with the pills. I have to work a bit harder to keep off some pounds but I am by no means skinny. I hide my poundage well, and all of my hubbies liked me just the way I was. I was always the one to leave. You're not alone.

I had to look back to see who sweet was, lol. That's ok, when I tell people my last name, they always get it wrong too.
Because of my age, the pill isn't an option, so they put me on Depo. I had lost 35 pounds last year, moved and lost my mind, lol. Had gotten the wrong dosage on the shot, and the move just didn't help.
Now, I have gained 12 of that 35 back.
