I asked my pastor these mind blogging questions after service and he couldnt provide an answer, minglers plzz HELP ME OUT. Why is it that the bible explains the earth to be 6000-8000 yr old,when we know that dinosaurs bones are @ least 65million years old?the missing link fossil IDA found recently is estimated to be about 47 million years old. (ii) christians argue evolution by asking why there arent any half ape men walking around today,RIGHT? Why dont we see giants fiery talking serpents, talking donkeys and many other mythical creatures descibed in the BIBLE? (iii) Why do xtians share the same statistical rate of divorce when God said what he has joined together let no man put asunder how could xtian marriages fail if they are sanctified by God? (iv)Why do innocent children have to suffer with terminal disaeses such as cancer,what part of God's plan is this exactly? (V)what if chrictianity was a sham? Pls this conundrum needs proper elucidiation.

The answer is there is no answer.

People believe what they want to, or were brought up to, believe.

here is my best attempt

i. THe bible doesnt explain the age of the earth, it does cover generally the generations of random families that are significant to biblical history


and

it is also a possibility that science sometimes ERRS in its application


ii. We dont see those other creatures, possibly because they died off, much like the dinosaur, who also no longer walks the earth

but unlike apes and monkeys who are STILL co existing with humans


iii. Christian marriages arent christian because those in them claim they are

christian marriages are christian because they follow spiritual guidance

those who arent following the guidance as christians, have the same rates as those who arent following the guidance as non christians


iv. I dont know Gods plan specifically. I believe that sickness and children are both great motivators and uniters though, and THIS is the 'silver lining' so to speak of why children get sick and possibly a small part of the purpose.

v. if christianity were a sham? I dont understand the question.

Are you asking what would happen if there was some discovery proving christ didnt exist or God didnt exist?

christianity isnt a sham because its a belief system,,peoples beliefs arent shams,,,
