Dear Diary,
Met the man with the sexual identity crisis again. Two male members think he is gay and one female member thinks he is gay but I think it is an identity crisis. Otherwise why would he refer to himself as Daniel sometimes and Danielle at other times. I think that there is something he has trouble in dealing with. The dementia is so refreshing as it is different from the other dementias that I run across every night that are so complicated.

In Erik Erikson's stages of psychosocial development, the emergence of an identity crisis occurs during the teenage years in which people struggle between feelings of identity versus role confusion. Researcher James Maria (1966, 1976, 1980) has expanded upon Erikson's initial theory. According to Marcia and his colleagues, the balance between identity and confusion lies in making a commitment to an identity. Marcia also developed an interview method to measure identity as well as four different identity statuses. This methods looks at three different areas of functioning: occupational role, beliefs and values, and sexuality.
Identity Statuses
Identity achievement occurs when an individual has gone through an exploration of different identities and made a commitment to one.

Moratorium is the status of a person who is actively involved in exploring different identities, but has not made a commitment.

Foreclosure status is when a person has made a commitment without attempting identity exploration.

Identity diffusion occurs when there is neither an identity crisis or commitment.

Damn it. Why does it always have to come back to commitment?

Dear Diary

How can things get worse??? I started to feel better today after a few days of feeling yucky, Got up, dressed and started to go to work. Halfway there my car amkes a funny noise and the power steering goes. This is at 6:30 am and nothing is opened, but I was close to my brother's house. I drive over there and ring his phone to wake him up, he was mad!!!

We took the car to a shop....I blew both serpentine belts on the car. Place fixes that after four hours and I drive the car home, no problems. Went to take the kids to the store and the car starts to make noise and leak....call the tow truck...lay out money for that...only to find out I screwed up the thermostat also, but the shop doesn't fix that.

So my brothers had to go back to the days of their youth and change parts on my car in the middle of the road in front of the house....

Keeping my fingers crossed so nothing else goes wrong....

Talk again when I stop screaming!!

Dear diary.....I flipped out on a girl at work. She is such a biotch.....she thinks that I have to drop everything for her patients and help her and mine are not a priority! If she wasn't so big and fat I would like to take her by her hair and give her the old push your face in the toilet routine
