Obama talks a good game.. That is the only reason he is where he is.

He sets up a debt reduction commission they come back with their recommendations..

He ignores them..

He sets up a job's council full of his cronies.. They come back with a recommendation..

He ignores them..

Here is what his Job Council said..

“[W]e should allow more access to oil, natural gas and coal opportunities on federal lands,”

“The Council recognizes the important safety and environmental concerns surrounding these types of projects, but now more than ever, the jobs and economic and energy security benefits of these energy projects require us to tackle the issues head-on and to expeditiously, though cautiously, move forward on projects that can support hundreds of thousands of jobs,”

Here is what Mr Know Nothing says..

“[H]ere’s what I know: However many jobs might be generated by a Keystone pipeline, they're going to be a lot fewer than the jobs that are created by extending the payroll tax cut and extending unemployment insurance,”

http://thehill.com/blogs/e2-wire/e2-wire/198211-obama-more-jobs-from-payroll-tax-package-than-keystone-approval

This guy sets up 2 commissions to tackle the most important issues we face and he completely ignores their recommendations..

Imagine what 4 more years of this clown are going to be like..

When he isn't campaigning for re election and has to even slightly pretend he isn't completely beholden to his left wing ideology..

Americans name jobs, the national debt, continuing economic decline, outsourcing, and politicians' bickering -- including President Obama and Congress -- when asked to say what worries them most about the national economy at this time.

Jobs/Unemployment 26%

National Debt/Federal Deficit 16%

Continuing Economic Decline 10%

Outsourcing/Creating Jobs in US 6%

Political Bickering 4%

were they given the options to rank or did they actually get to name them themself

I ask because Im surprised the state of our educational and health system arent on the list

wont matter if there are jobs if people cant get the healthcare when they are sick and dont have the skills to compete in a job market,,,

According to statistics from the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the United States produces about 10% of the world’s oil—about 8 million barrels per day.

Unfortunately, it consumes 14% more—24% in all. That amount comes to about 21 million barrels each day. [Baltimore Sun: “Oil Facts”]

a productive future will mean becoming LESS oil dependent , not continuing and increasing the trend which lead us here,,,,its a bandaid on a broken leg

it makes us once again a leader instead of a follower, it makes us once again innovators instead of just consumers, it makes us less beholden (and possibly less of a target as a result) to other nations with which we deal in oil...

I think the commission is on to something if the target is just creating jobs, but not if the longterm target is improving AND maintaining the economy

Obama promised that we would be the leader in green technology and China sells more in the US than we do..

You can't compete with China in the production of technology like solar panels because they can always sell them cheaper..

There is no viable option to fossil fuels now, or in the next 50 years. You can keep playing this game and pretending its not true, but when gas is $5 a gallon and the debt is $16 trillion Obama is gonna be the one paying the price in November..

Yes there is, nuclear.

People are just scared. Fewer people will be adversely affected by the Fukushima accident then we are by almost any other modern technology. More people die of cancer from mercury emitted from waste products, or even worse coal powered plants then nuclear, but dont let facts change your position scary ole radiation might get cha!

Nuclear power plants are on the decline in the US, why? Irrational fear mongering by the fossil fuel market.
