Dating=barbaric practice. Like Ruthie, I take Mingle2 very seriously as a social networking site. I have made the bestest friends :-) I always try to hook them up. Being in a committed relationship, I don't really use the dating side. Hella fun to watch though :-) I knew you were laughing at us! |

I can't take online dating that serously, for the fact anyony could be anything that there not telling you. You might think i'm being too wary, but i'm keeping myself safe, after what happened on another site. I took in prisoners THAT time as i was naive, well not anymore. Anyone anywhere can have things that they are not telling you. This is not just specific to online. You just have to be a bit wary and use common sense. Exactly. Exactly You can quote me on that. |

right - agreed - I like most folks I've met on here - but I know there are a few wind ups & game players on here too (not in this thred as far as I can tell but I pretty much have them pegged) otherwise I take it as a fun time to talk to different people also! Just because I don't take it seriously doesn't mean that I do not appreciate my mingle friends cuz I do |

I agree with this though the same stuff tends to happen in life too. Taking risks is scary. Computers are just easier to hide behind. Some people turn it into a career. Keeping yourself safe all the time can get exhausting. |

Speaking from a past experience. My trust will take time to grow back again. I understand that you shouldn't live life too cautiously. This is just the present tense, really. Who knows the future? :) When you've been hacked by someone you trusted, death threats from him, too, and other crazy s***, you lose a part of yourself. You can't recognise who you are anymore, cos said person is pushing your buttons, in a way. I did go to the police about it though, in the end. I don't really know how to explain how it feels. I've only began being the old me again, about a year ago.

Going through that stuff is not fun at all. My ex-fiance was emotionally abusive almost always. I think I remember him actually say if I leave him he'll make my life a living hell. Which explains why I'm a emotional wreck. I'm glad you got some help, in a lot these situations, most women don't seek any type of asistance readily available to them, in worst cases until its too late. I guess I was afraid too. I try not to be afraid of everybody.
