Do you feel that YOU will find someone on here?

Do you feel that You will NEVER find your other?

Do you feel that MANY can live alone the rest of their life and be happy w/o another in their life?

I don't believe so. Only because that would mean someone or something was making some sort of determination (whether we have any way to discern this or not) as to who is designated for who. Seems like a lot of thankless work keeping track of seven billion people, with no real benefit (as far as I can see) for whoever/whatever is in charge.



I believe most people would like to find someone. I think we are, at our essence, social beings and we may do better when we have people in our lives to care for and interact with. I do think that there are times when someone has been so damaged that they give up on the idea of finding someone. But I see that more as being resigned to being alone, as opposed to actually wanting to be alone.



It's unlikely. I've been on here since December of 2006, and, except for the time when I got back together with one of my exes and she was on here, I haven't run across any viable prospects.



My thinking now is: Nobody wants what I'm offering, and no one is offering what I want. Not saying it couldn't change, but I'm not actively looking anymore. It's reached the point where I think I'm more likely to run into the Loch Ness Monster than a compatible dating prospect.



I don't know about happy, per se....but I can live with it. There are a lot of benefits to being single. Given a choice between being alone, or being with anyone like any of my exes, I'd choose being alone.

It depends on what you mean by happy. Many women, especially, are put in this position when they outlive their husbands, or just get to old age without a partner and then find themselves up against the gender disparity. I think most of us can and do have satisfying and fulfilling lives even so. But if you can have a heart-to-heart with these people (we older single women) I think you'd find that the vast majority of them do feel a great hole. You fill it up as best you can with the other people and activities in your life, and you try to ignore the rest of it.

I have talked to many ladies forty five and up,,who have told me they love being single and free to just be..
I have wondered if maybe they might have just been saying THAT,,as to presume from our eyes,,that they were good in life on their own.
as that was told to me here,,in posts many times..
I think,,I will and would,,ALWAYS feel that void you mentioned as well...And as I have spent MORE of my life with a mate,,MAYBE THATS WHY? And maybe those who never experienced a long term togetherness with one person,,maybe they can't feel,,a real MISS?

Considering that happiness is a gift we give ourselves by how we approach life daily, our thoughts of ourselves and others and how we project outwards everyday and really cannot be given to us by others. I would say that we are either happy or we are not.

I still keep an open mind about meeting someone special everyday anywhere.

If I do not find someone to share life with, it will be fine, I enjoy my life anyway. It would be nice however to share those sunsets and laughter with someone special.

Well, I think it's possible for two people to just happen to come into contact with each other and feel some sort of inexplicable instantaneous attraction. I've had that happen.

I don't see it as destiny or fate or "meant to be." All of those would require some kind of external controller. I think it's just "right place right time" -- with no steering involved. Sometimes it's just a bunch of stuff that happens a particular way.

No there is no one person for another. How guys you see after a break up become so forloin- "Ohen she was the best, I'll never find another, I'll never be happy again...." Each relationship is what you make of it.

Well, its all in how YOU want it. What they want could be anything tied into how they are feeling. Usually by their actions its pretty clear in what they want. I hope not all feel this way. Everybody deserves someone.

Yeah lol I always say it keeps getting better when you want it too. Wither I find someone on here or in life, that doesn't matter. Finding it is the reward. Having them find you can be magic.

There's that possibility too. But I prefer to be a little more optimistic.

I think they can, anything is possible but I think it'd be hard and terrible lonely.
