If Mingle had a site program that could give forum participants the option to have a forum pic that only showed in the forums and not in the profile, would you choose a special separate one? No, I haven't heard any rumors about that, just a thought.

Nope. I don't really see the need for me to have a picture just for the forums that would not be in my profile as well.

As in a separate avatar? I probably would, just because I somewhat consider the forums separate from the rest of the site anyway.

The rest of the site? Profiles and contacting/responding to people? Why do you consider it to be separate?

I only thought of this recently because when I occasionaly post a picture of me so that people here can put a face to the words, it seems men don't read my profile and nudge or read and nudge anyway.

I just do. Probably because I am more used to the original forums that had little to no site attached to it. Now it is more of a standard to have websites with attached forums. Not to mention I remember reading all photos are supposed to be of "us", and yet many of us (myself included) still have pictures pertaining to something else primarily used in the forum. So it would be a way to follow the rule as well as having something humorous or what not to identify us as well.

Ah, ok. Yeah, since I tend to use the site features together, rather than just one of them on it's own, I have no problem with my pictures in my profile being viewable to those in the forums.

I am MAYBE guilty of a nudge to you or anyone,,because,,lets say I read you here in a post and it sounded like you were bummed,,I MIGHT randomly send you a hug,w/o reading your profile? That same for any compassion given on a post?
And to be real,,since I got on this Net,,and this place,,hardly ANY dudes reads a woman's profile,,before saying some kind of remarks first to them,,ecspecially IF they have a pic showing them looking very pretty or sexy to a mans eyes?
Most men will,,drop a email,,flirt on that post, or send masive kisses,,,lol,,and NEVER READ your words in your profile..
As my preference to reading a profile is when the poster makes reference to them,,or is asking a serious question about life and them? In order to more feel their person,,and heart,,i HAVE TO READ THEIR PROFILE,,to make any replies to them..MANY HERE DON'T DO THAT FIRST...Just yesterday,,a poster was bashed and kind of humiliated by most in one of his threads,, as his picture makes him appear NOT looking great,,ok.And most felt they were justified in doing that,,because he seemed to be uncaring and weird.in his questions and thoughts..But he was confined in a wheelchair,,and Probably since birth,,and has not had much of the real out going life styles we all lived through,,so his thoughts seemed back-wards to OURS,,yet he wasn't trying to be rude or odd,,it's HIM not knowing others will take him that way. TO HIM,,he was just being Him..

No, I don't see the point. Besides I change my profile picture all the time according to my mood. Actually, I change my profile a lot, too. If anyone read it on a regular basis they would probably think I had multiple personality disorder.
