If Mingle had a site program that could give forum participants the option to have a forum pic that only showed in the forums and not in the profile, would you choose a special separate one?  No, I haven't heard any rumors about that, just a thought.
well what would be the point of that? I guess whether I would do it or not would depend on the reason behind it. Do you mean like an Avatar? |

The rest of the site? Profiles and contacting/responding to people? Why do you consider it to be separate? I just do. Probably because I am more used to the original forums that had little to no site attached to it. Now it is more of a standard to have websites with attached forums. Not to mention I remember reading all photos are supposed to be of "us", and yet many of us (myself included) still have pictures pertaining to something else primarily used in the forum. So it would be a way to follow the rule as well as having something humorous or what not to identify us as well. OK - in this respect it would be almost like an avatar like I have on non dating forums like the microsoft and music forums I'm on...where we just have an avatar or a photo - one or the other |

That can be done with what we have now, though. I guess I just don't understand the purpose of a completely different picture than what's in our profiles. |

I only thought of this recently because when I occasionaly post a picture of me so that people here can put a face to the words, it seems men don't read my profile and nudge or read and nudge anyway. 
 Thank You. I'll have you know I not only grow the asiatic lily I have used..but I have quite an extensive collection of perennials. If you name one, I probably have it, or a collection of it. Or have grown it and removed it for some reason or another

I guess I just don't understand the purpose of a completely different picture than what's in our profiles. not sure I get that either unless it's so we don't have to upload images to our profiles for those of us who use images on here that are not necessarily our photos like Ruth's cow - she could have it on here - bit not have to upload it to her profile & leave it on there in order to get it on here maybe the OP will clarify |

like Ruth's cow - she could have it on here - bit not have to upload it to her profile & leave it on there in order to get it on here I got more views to my profile with that cow than I ever got with my own photo. So, if I was gonna use it I'd keep it on my profile. |

well really I was just using your cow to illustrate a point, but I think if I am correct about what the OP is suggesting...one would not have to have or keep their forum photo/avatar/image on their profile if they did not wish - but of course they could an options thing..... |
