Here it is January the 8th, one year after the Tucson shootings. While it was a tragic day it was also a year ago and in my opinion enough time has passed to move on from it, but that's not what the liberals here are doing. All week there have been stories and little piss ant vigils celebrating this tragedy (remember, liberals never let a good tragedy go to waste) and tonight is the BIG one. Gabby herself and other victims are back in town to remind us how we should all behave and how to be better people and discuss more gun control. Speaking of guns, there was a gun show yesterday and it continues today and you can imagine the furore over this atrocity taking place on this the day one year later after the shooting. My point in all this is that people need to accept that humans are bastard coated bastards with bastard filling and we do bad things to each other and in some cases those bad things are the constant harping on tragedies among other things. Its already happened and there is nothing anyone can do to prevent them from happening again and they will happen again and again and again.

I think there are two significant ideas behind 'anniversary' messages and vigils

1. saving even one life is worth it

2. make sure the victims are remembered at least as long as the perpetrators are,,,,

I don't personally know any of these people and do feel bad for the survivors, I truly do. As long as Loughner is in the news these people will be remembered and hosting these events is not going to stop some idiot with an idea. Its liberals not letting a good tragedy go to waste plain and simple.

Humm it is remembered due to it was someone that is in the limelight not because of the liberals.....

Believe it or not there are actually people out there that wants to know how those caught in this tragedy are doing.

But sad that one has to be a public figure for it to make the news...whoa

It has nothing to do with anyone in the lime light, remember the Columbine mini series?

My opinion is she should step down as Congresswoman and focus on her health. She has been and very inefective since coming back. She needs to do the right thing and let someone else who has the time and ability to put Congress matters first.

Her recovery is going to be a full time job\commitment that she needs to be focusing on.

I agree, she should step down until she is capable of holding the position and there is no doubt that she will get re-elected.

So according to your logic, everybody should move on from the Twin Towers tragedy too. Maybe you have a point there. I dunno.

I don't think Evil Kenevil could make that jump but no, there is a difference between an attack on the country vs. an attack against a politician including those there to see him/her.
