Hehe, yea, my approach for shy girls is I wave either something shiny or edible high in the air, and then proceed to move closer to them at an angle. When I get close enough...that's when I use the burlap sack that's in the other hand. BAM! Hmmm, being shy myself, what I have found is open-ended questions, and just being genuine. If you show an interest in someone, an honest interest in who they are, they tend to open up a lot easier.

just talk to her and be your self dont try to be this macho type ...if she acts silly its ok....the more you try to get to know her on a personal basis the better off you are...and the conversations can get deeper
