Im always suspicious of such short snippets
and IM not a santorium supporter but,, what happened before and after that sentence did he truly just reference 'black people' out of thin air or had someone else worded a question with that reference before,,, I knwo how media can take snippets out of context, but I will be looking around to see if there is any video of the WHOLE press conference instead of just this one statement,,, |

The media hasn't even started vetting InSanatorum yet! Lot of dirt on this little piggy.... he just hit the "anyone but Rummy" peak days before, so media didn't get their shot at him yet. ![]() Watch the next few days! (Faux Noise and the war machine love him cuz he'll keep the wars going, Wall Street will pour money in now because he's a liberal they can buy, not a conservative....but he's gone soon!) |

I stayed up to the very end and I thought one of the final comments made by Neo Con Billy Kristol summed up Santorum..
He said the he was a "compassionate conservative" and then chuckled.. Just what the republican party doesn't need.. Another big spending "compassionate conservative". |

ITs actually the least thing I like about our election process the dirt slinging. airing personal business, and 'why you shouldnt vote for him' nonsense imagine choosing a doctor for a surgery whose primary recommendation was 'the other doctors have had affairs, the other doctors have said questionable things in their past, the other doctors once knew/hung around questionable people,,,,,,,,so let ME operate instead' LOL,,,imagine,,, |

"I don't want to make JUST black people's lives better." But I really hate watching politics.. it's all crap to me. I think he just had a 'stoner' moment. Or. Maybe he's racist. Either way... idfc |

Even if he said, 'I love black people', it is still a racial slur. Whether it offends you, or not, it doesn't alter the fact that no politician is 'permitted' to Ebonicize (my word for using ebonics) a race. You don't call Germans, Nazis. You don't call Latinos, Tanned. You don't call Mexicans, Eses. You don't call African Americans, Black. It's Politics 101. Period. |

strange, since we have a political entity titled the 'black caucus' I dont think the term on its own is politically incorrect, but the sentences it is used in can sometimes be,,, This is true, however, he wasn't talking about the Black Caucus. And even so, it's not an all-black Group. (Though, it's hilarious to me that only one of them is white) Regardless, that's a group with the name 'black' in the title. They refer to themselves as that, and maybe it's because the African-American Caucus is too long of a name? Or because not all of the 'blacks' in it, are African? Either way, he was referring to the general society, which you can't deny. He may have quoted the words from the actual question he was asked? This part I don't know, I didn't see the whole conference; well, actually any of it really. I stand by what I 'think' he meant earlier. |

I guess its personal perception I know of noone offended by being called black, many are puzzled because it seems such an inaccurate and negative description but , being that we check that box on most official forms regularly, most of us probably are pretty accustomed to being considered 'black' |

It's actually kind of funny...
It seems more white people are offended by little infractions than those who it was supposedly meant to offend. However, off the bat, I assumed that was the major issue and reasoning behind the whole 'racist' remark. At the same time, it could be the context itself? I believe though, he just forgot the word, 'Just'. "I'm not out to make JUST black people's lives easier." I, in my mind, think that is what he meant to say. However, I don't know what he was asked, so therefore, it's all speculation. |
