Wat ar deir main aim 4 avin a relatnshp

For me, It's about bonding with someone on a deeper level than possible with family and friends. Enjoying experiencing life with someone with mutual trust, understanding and acceptance. Oh, and the sex part is amazing drool

I haven't quite found all that yet but have been close

I used to think it would be nice to have someone to care about, someone who would care about me, someone to share life with, someone to learn and grow with, someone to build a bond with, a bond that would be "greater than the sum of its parts." so to speak.

Turned out it was never real -- a beautiful fantasy, but it doesn't exist. Not for me, anyway.

Yeah I thought that too until I found out it was about having to change who I am for that person and that person trying to control me. Now I would understand if this happened one or two times; I would say luck of the draw but every single realtionship has gone that way, so screw it. Life is to short to be someone's puppet.

That's how I see it, too. 98.9361702% of all my relationships ended up with them trying to turn me into Somebody's Dad ® -- no thank you. If they can't take me as I am, then just forget it.

Yep, my last boyfriend said I should act like more of a woman as I was too Tomboy for him. Whatever? He also felt I should accompany him to the Rodeo if I loved him but I told him I think Rodeos are cruel to animals; so I would never go. He thought I was being unreasonable; so I said he was free to find someone else. Don't need that crap.

Wouldn't it be easier to get a dog? Not trying to be mean or sarcastic but there should be more than just companionship.

My main aim for having a relationship with someone is also because I have bonded with and want to get to know on a deeper, non superficial level.

He is generally someone that is able to surprise me - I don't mean by continuously jumping out of hats laugh but someone whose actions/responses aren't those I can predict.
