THE MORNING AFTER:

Slept about three hours and checked my email. He wrote! He said that he loved me and that he would always love me. By the sound of the rest of the content I humiliated him and hurt his feelings. He wants to further this "relationship."

I know what I need to do-------but HOW do I do it safely for someone who is obviously not stable, in my opinion, anyway. Course, look how sane my actions have been thus far......

Thank you for all of your thoughts/assist/prayers.
BTW, his last name is on his e-mail....

Print it off & save it.
Don't reply to him again.
Let your silence show your intent.

You know, you say that so effortlessly, and it seems SO simple, yet I hadn't thought of that. I must be as dumb as a box of rocks, people!!!

Good advice.....

WHISPER, Listen to everyone as you requested, but finally go with your own decision, regardless right and wrong. "IF YOU DON'T TAKE DECISION, YOU CAN'T REACH CONCLUSION, ITS A RULE OF THUMB"

ALL THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had to go back and read the original "Scared" to see what the heck was going on.....first of all you're not as dumb as a box of rocks!!!! You just need to be more careful of whom you choose to talk to, never give out any personal information like addresses until you have known this person/persons for a considerable period of time (least of all anybody you have met on the internet).

If I were you, I wouldn't have anymore contact with him. Like Sage said, print out the email and save it. If things get any worse contact the police.

I've never advanced so quickly in any education-oriented arena than I have been this last 6 hours or so!

I'm slow, but I FINALLY do catch on!

I hope there are those naive women (and men) who have learned from my mistake!

This is a difficult subject for ladies especially.
I learned so much from Gwen, she had been abused in her life,
did not like people behind her, had lots of mirrors so she could see everything around her.
It taught me to be open & have great concern for how a lady feels & her saftey. If I have a lady at my home, when she leaves always ask her to call when she gets home. If out somewhere & get feeling lady uncomfortable, suggest we leave, if she wants. Men who but ladies in awkward positions, don't realize what they are doing, most times. Need it pointed out & please do that ladies. I think men in their 40's & up, tend to have some wrong teachings in our lives. Large changes in how society looks at things, haven't sunk in for a lot of us. Gwen & I got help & when the light bulb went on in my head, WHAT A CHANGE.

know it is not only the women who make mistakes, the men are good adout that also. after being married for 50 years to one woman then suddenly a widower, I think I made some or nearly all the mistakes noted here, I trusted people other women too much. it cost me as I was ripped off several times, does make you want to just crawl in a hole and hide still if you did what next????

I think everyone makes mistakes. Some people are just lucky and their mistakes are not costly financially or physically dangerous. The important thing is to learn from your mistakes.
