Its not how much it costs, not even if they don't like it. And give it a toss. THAT doesn't matter at all. NOT TO GIVE, is truly, YOUR LOSS. Even a card can embed a life-long memory. Share your thoughts and heart with another this year....Just a hug,,,can left a friend so much higher...♥  I was just wondering how YOU think and feel at Christmas,,as this is my thoughts..
 
Christmas here is summed up that its all about greed, glutenay, and the over use of the middle finger as people fight over parking spots. I hate it and refuse to celebrate it as its nothing more than commercialized crap. I also refuse to accept any Christmas gifts and have asked others to donate money to the homeless or food banks instead. I don't believe in destroying even more trees for decoration, christmas cards, or wrapping paper; but I certainly do send a quick email or pick up the phone to invite a friend out for coffee as I did last night as the best gift they can give me is their time. I like the idea of peace on earth and good will towards men but Christmas actually brings out the worst in people. I will be glad when this nightmare is all over. 
Agreed. My family finally gets it that Christmas is about being with each and a time to reflect. We have done away with all the presents, trees, lights, etc; as we are intelligent enough to know that love and sharing does not come with a price tag.

I love christmas, having everyone together, watching my children. I love searching for presents that i know everyone will like, I love being able to give, This year I am away from some of my chilodren and Mum and Dad so it's not the same, but I have my other children and watching them getting ready for an American Christmas instead of a hot summer Christmas is pretty cool That's way kewl Josie! I know how it is to miss the kids at Christmas; but new experiences are always fun. I hope you enjoy the Holiday here in the States and if you are looking for snow, I hope you get it

That is so sweet. I won't be the Grinch who stole Christmas.  I will get my dolls changed and dressed. Then give them a hug and take down to the dining room. I will make sure they don't eat the wrapping paper or the Christmas tree. Then I will try to get the drama down to a minimum and make sure they aren't terrified of the big man in the Santa Claus suit. I will help feed the ones who can't feed themselves and after they all full of pop, candy, sugar, candy I will tell the next shift Merry Christmas I am going home.

I don't need to have friends or family with me to enjoy the holidays. I have spent Thanksgivings and Christmases alone before and enjoyed them just as much. Whatever your religious beliefs are this is a special time of year. And the turning of the seasons are always something to be excited about and grateful for. I'm a big nature person so maybe that's why I enjoy it so much. It's about change, the death of the old and the birth of the new. I'm with you on this Ruth. I spent Thanksgiving alone and enjoyed it very much. My kids were other places this year and couldn't get home so.... I bought a ham and made food that "I" love like yams, mushrooms, shrimp, etc.  . A day I didn't have to hear football on the tv too .

I love the Holidays...with Christmas on the tops. I love all the lights that put me in a very calming spirit. This time of year for me is making stuff with my two hands and giving them away. This year I am making Wooden Jewelry Boxes for my girls

I think if people feel the need to give gifts; then making gifts is a great idea. I don't get the tacky decorations and lights as I do believe a home can be full of Christmas spirit without it. JMO |
