Stickies are never around when you need them. Ask the missing socks when you find them.

Check and see if they have stuck to the back of your monitor.

OK first a warning I am a PC person windows & Linux
but any program has a file find the file location in your menu on ur C drive is it there? |
there's some stickies database.
but that's a lot of nothin. |
if u can't find the actual application file on drive C or your main local drive, it is gone...somehow
or search your C drive in DOS if u can you can restore it from a back up copy you might have somewhere of a file backup or apple might have a site (such as that database) where u can download a new version = hopefully for free - microsoft does that from their site for Windows - but these options probably will not restore all stickies you already have most likely it is on there somewhere ( the file) if you have a menu of programs running & start up programs check it in windows it's called programs & features bit IDK what it is on apple what is on the stickies database? |

From what I know, and my personal knowledge base, they are obviously missing, and if they aren't in the stickies database, then there is one way to try and find them. If it doesn't work, I think you're done!
1) Log into the system with another administrator account 2) Open a terminal and sudo to root 2) Edit /Users/%user%/Library/Preferences/com.apple.dashboard.plist with a text editor (where %user% is the user with the problem) 3) Open /Users/%user%/Library/Preferences/widget-com.apple.widget.stickies.plist 4) For each key in the stickies plist file you will need to copy the key and paste it into the dashboard plist. To do that you need to copy the xml in the dashboard plist and edit it appropriately. Hopefully this is obvious to you how to do it when you get there. 5) Log out and back in as the user with the missing stickies. 6) Check dashboard.. stickies should have returned. |

whoa.
