mabe they should move UPHILL. Im not too bright but i know better than to build below sea level next to the ocean. Why should i bail them out everytime the towm floods when theyre shouldent be a town there in the first place.

I agree with you rambill. Why is bush to blame for all the mess from katrina? that mayor had ALOT to do with much of that carnage caused by a NATURAL DISASTER. And my thoughts are from a PROUD DEMOCRAT. IMAGINE THAT.

what kind of AID did those victims of katrina receive from their own MAYOR???? He sent them off to the superdome to DIE. IGNORED the fact that there were many ways OUT of that city including the use of school buses. I do NOT see where george dubbyah is the ONLY one to blame here. It makes no sense to me why NO ONE ANYWHERE could get into that town to provide much needed disaster relief when the disaster HIT. Republican, Democrat, WHAT THE PISS EVER. There WERE ways into that city and i am sick of hearing this was all the presidents fault. Why rebuild a city that has already failed with this disaster and most likely will AGAIN???? THINGS THAT MAKE YA GO HMMMMM????grumble Where WAS the major during the hurricane? In a nice comfy and safe area watching his citizens DYING. He sent them to the superdome. Lets not forget the TRUTH.

Let's get real. A storm the size of England, Scottland and Ireland than smacks -mutiple states- and we have individuals indicating that the local residents didn't know how to avoid it, brilliant!!! How is that for being uninformed. Further; The Fed's, read El Preseidente', bare the blunt of the responsibility since he gave 900 million to the Mayor & the ARMY Core of Engineers to repair the levy. Then Bush and the VP run out of cash for an illegal war and steal 600 million for IRAQ. So the Mayor couldn't fix JACK!!! This means' You don't know JACK!!!! Seems the US can FIX the WORLD's Problems but NOT OUR OWN!!!! Finally; if we have a local/National Guard on the job; the residents of New Orleans aren't nearly as devastated but guess what; THEIR ASS's WERE ALSO DEPLOYED TO IRAQ, as well. So no funds and no National Guard means The Mayor & Governor were not to blame and El Presidente', in his infitinite wisdom, is and reamins the culprit. He also appointed incompetent BOOBS to run FEMA and Emergency Response so the folks that got hit were SOL:-0) Let's call a spade a spade, BUSH is an idiot and ill prepared to deal with Wars, which he created, and National Disasters!!!!

the real culprits are the building inspectors and zoning people who allowed this area to be devloped in the first place.

I dont recall ANY RESIDENT in NEW ORLEANS being ILL INFORMED. That storm was HUGE. If they stayed they were fools. BIGGER FOOLS to return and try to rebuild a town that is ruined so who is hired? ILLEGALS to rebuild new orleans. Uninformed bobbyblue? HARDLY. I have FRIENDS living and WORKING in NEW ORLEANS. seems its CHEAPER to employ illegals and try to restore a town that simply should be BULLDOZED. Then you have the residents too good to LIVE in the FEMA trailers because of what? FORMALDEHYDE? BEEN THERE AND DONE IT WITHOUT WHINING. Mis informed? NOT QUITE. I am NO FOOL but my tax dollars are being WASTED on a city that should be simply DECLARED A LOSS.

barbie... wheres your compassion? someone must be to blame besides the people who lived below sea level next to the ocean. it couldent be thier own fault. we SIMPLY MUST blame someone else and revere the victoms.

BOBBY THE LIBERAL,

I ask you.... compared to whom?

BUSH DID IT!!!
bush didn't tell anyone the storm was coming.
oh yea, that was the weather service.
bush didn't tell them to get out.
oh yea, that was the govenor and the mayor that didn't say that.
bush didn't have any way for them to get out.
oh yea, there were school buses under water that were under the control of the mayor.
bush didn't help after the fact.
oh yea, the tractor trailers were outside of town waiting to be told my the state/city it was ok to come in.
bush started a war that took the national guard away.
oh yea, congress approved it and it was done intentionally because GW knew that katrina was coming.

give me a break.
i live at the north end of the state and we were ready for them to evacuate to here. why didn't they??
oh yea, lack of transportation. damn the luck and the buses. and they reelected the mayor. we won't the govenor!!!!

yah this whole business of katrina being bushes fault is a knee jerk reaction, nothing more. The data dont support that conclusion at all.
