I am new to this online dating......Is it too much to ask that a man be true and honest ?? Or is the online dating scene more of just a meat market.....hookup thing ??

Hiya

Your profile says a lot about YOU – that is not a criticism as it gives the reader a lot of relevant information about your likes etc.

Personally I would not have mentioned my divorce in the text as you have already listed that elsewhere.

In my experience, not being specific about the characteristics that you are looking for in a prospective partner, may leave you spending a lot of time filtering out responses from incompatible people.

Internet dating is as much of a meat market as you want to make it. Practice saying NO now laugh and stay true to what you are looking for. If a guy’s genuine, he’ll be patient and wait until you are both singing from the same page.

The only other bit of advice I can give you is don't believe everything that is TYPED to you - it may sound obvious, but some people can be more convincing than others! I always say, if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck..you've got yourself a duck!

So endeth the lesson laugh all the best in finding what you're looking for.

Welcome. You did give a lot of information so hopefully guys with same interests will contact you. There are always the scammers, so be careful.

I hope not. I'm new to this whole internet thing too. It would suck to learn the hard way. we all just want to meet that safe person to start bulding something with.
