We're talking OWS here, a "leaderless" protest with a multiple of agendas. NO permits would be allowed to be issued!

Without permits, as in Egypt and elsewhere, the Nat Guard would be called, and we know how that went at Kent State and in Selma.

Wall Street is perfect! It gives Washington the chance to say and fix things to save face, while delivering a message to the houses of power and the source of the corruption!

It is an election year aproaching you know!

All you need to get a permit for a protest is a time and place. You don't have to state what you are protesting. So it doesn't matter how many agendas are in play, they could still get a permit.

OWS doesn't have permits and the National Guard hasn't been used to kill them yet. OWS is being allowed to flaunt the laws, they have in some cases been offered free permits since they didn't file for their own. The government menace for OWS is all in your head. The Administration and many elected democrats have publicly stated their support of OWS. It doesn't seem that you know what you are talking about at all.

Talk is cheap! What is anyone doing about the issues?

Most of the area around the Washington buildings is under a "different" protection class than Wall Street.

Messing with the DHS is a little different then playing with public interest property.

Not to say a march on Washington isn't forthcoming!

How did closing banks and affecting businesses make a positive difference? Did it hurt the big guys? Nope, they still got their paycheck. Did it hurt their business? Marginally at most. Most of their business is done in other cities or online. Did it hurt the employees and/or customers of the businesses? Yes, absolutely. They missed days of work or were unable to complete errands due to an unruly mob blocking businesses. So the goal of OWS is to be a minor annoyance to the fat cats and give a black eye to the little people? Sounds like a bunch of jerks to me.

The OP clearly stated on page one that there are two protests going on in DC. It is painfully obvious that you are arguing for the sake of hearing yourself bloviate and you know absolutely nothing about the subject.

If they think as you seem to, it's made NO difference, but if they care anything about the "voice of the people", who has the power to shut down their machine, they'll soon have to listen!

I can't participate due to health and finacial reasons or I would be there myself.

Routines of my health, don't afford me the opportunity or ability, to spend as much time as I would wish to get more "involved"

But I do follow world events (off the MSM) as much as possible and research where I can. The issues I state are my own opinions (documented where possible) from what I have found and my personal feelings.

I don't proclaim to be the know all, see all, of anything, but I do have opinions and can most usually back them up by news releases or documentation of some sort.

The discussion panels at the occupy movements are very grass roots & solutions are being discussed. In fact, a D.C. occupation (www.october2011.org) recently gave the senate their list of "demands" which I choose to call solutions. Check it out on facebook under "Stop the Machine! All I want to see are people in the office who know what it is to be the Americans who slip through the cracks. To be the family pulling garbage out of store dumpsters because food banks aren't cutting it for the need and they don't qualify for welfare aid programs. Or what it's like to be a psychologically or physically damaged person incapable of handling the responsibilities of childbearing and/or rearing yet be unable to get an abortion due to a state's opinion that they have a right to force women to give birth.

INCREASE the taxes on IMPORTED GOODS from Countries that have stolen our foundations of products under our noses without ANY stopping them.

Id like a system like my mom described in the netherlands. Id like a more 'community centered' way of life.

I dont understand it in detail, but there is a system where after a certain income citizens must hire someone to do SOMETHING. There are places offered for senior females to live, free of charge, after they have spent a life working(only no pets or males allowed after hours..lol).

There is a pride in peoples jobs because everybody works, even the people who clean streets or bus stops leave them sparkling because they feel proud of the job they do and there isnt such a gap between the haves and the have nots to cause the snooty, 'you dont deserve what I do' mentality western style capitalism often causes.

Lets all convert to the Amish Way of life!
