The other day, a friend of mine, who is 35, came to my parents' house and cried over a guy (age 36) who treated her like an ***! This guy has his own place, make good money, driving a Benz, travels the world, he got it made but cant treat my friend like a queen! I told her to go out with this other guy, who is 24 years old, no "big" job, no car, no own place but goes to college and make little money but treats all women with respect and class and treats them like queens. Now ladies, would you prefer a man who has everything but treats you like crap or a man who has very little but going to school and treats you very good and nice and will never, ever hit you...ever!!?? Which one will you pick and comment on it!

Thank you ladies and have a good day!!

He should be with someone age appropriate.

if he's still in school, then i would imagine they are in very different places in their life, and it wouldn't work anyway...

And i wouldn't want to be with either honestly... I cant date a guy without a car... gas is too damn expensive for me to have to drive everywhere... he doesn't ahve to have a ton of money, but he needs to be able to support himself, including at least half of the dates...

And as for a guy who treats me like crap... well... that just wouldn't happen... i dont put up with that... and if a guy EVER hit me... that would be the last thing he EVER did...

There are quite a bit of differences there. Some women will not date out of their own age group for one.

Also, just because you think he is a good guy, doesn't make him right for her. Your dealing with mutual attraction and other personal issues.

All that said. I do not require that a man be rich. But he needs to be taking care of himself decently. By decently I mean legitimately (not drug dealing etc...) paying his way and living on his own.

You have to remember all of our experiences in life are our learning lessons. This guy is a lesson for her. She has to repeat until she learns the/all lesson/s.

Neither. One is a jerk and the other is too young.

I would never be with a guy who treats me like dirt. While the guy who has little might treat her better it doesn't mean they are meant to be together. My ex treated be very well, waited on me hand and foot, not that I took advantage of that, he just wouldn't let me lift a finger and help out with anything. He lost his job after awhile and didn't have much to offer but that wasn't why I left the relationship. There were many other factors that came into play. She needs to see her self worth, meet someone who she can love and care for and that will do the same for her. Together they can make a healthy relationship by giving to each other 100%.

Sometimes these women that tolerate bad behavior are caught up in a abusive/neglectful cycle. It is difficult to talk them out of it. Each woman is in charge of her own life and she will choose if she wants abuse or wants out. It is sad but it does exist. I hope she sees the light soon.sad2

Based on your story I think there is something wrong with her. Treating someone like a queen should not be a requirement. She is your partner not your empress. I mean you should be loving and not treat people like crap but there is a big difference between sharing your world with someone and someone that wants your whole world to revolve around them. I would want nothing to do with the latter.

For me Age doesnt matter at all and I prefer the guy with a lots of love to offer, respect, and knows how to treat his woman. Dont care if he doesnt have benz or a very nice job or something like that. Pure and true love is what matters the most!!

Picking someone with such obvious flaws as the abusive guy will not be improved by picking someone who is still less cronologically or socially mature. She would be tradeing one set of problems for another. She sounds sounds selfish, entitled, and incrediblly immature and a poor choice for anyone.

First of all, this makes it seem like money and age are the determining factors of someone's personality and the way they treat others. I think we can all agree that the first guy was a jerk, rich or poor, 35 or 25, he's just an idiot. The younger guy might've already discovered that there's a certain way you treat women i.e with respect and that has more to do with his level of maturity than his age or what he owns. I think we've all met grown boys. Men who choose to act their shoe size. It's not about what he has or how old he is, but who he is (I'm not talking about fame). Call me idealistic and romantic but honestly, since when did love get so calculating?

Oh I would never go out with the first guy who hit. I would rather be with someone who doesn't have much but treat me like a queen. But again it's not like there's only these 2 choices she can have.
