Topic: What's the scariest movie you've ever seen? | |
---|---|
When I was a itty bitty child, Wizard of Oz. That danged witch haunted my dreams for months. Now, "It" When the creepy clown grabs the kid by his heels. Not cool. Not cool at all. OMG...the stupid wizard's voice scared me as a kid. IT...one of my faves. |

Okay....I'm a dweeb and I know it, but: Play Misty For Me and ManHunter (an 80's movie, the first version of Red Dragon) They are more of psychologically scary than bloody-scary. Play Misty for me was really scary because it was so ... true to life. What about that one where Clint was an author and he was kidnapped by a fan who broke his legs and made him write a book? Can't remember the name of it. Are you thinking of Misery? With Kathy Bates? Only the guy wasn't Clint. |

As a kid-
The Changeling (1980) Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark Don't Go To Sleep Trilogy Of Terror(the Zuni Fetish doll!) The Exorcist Beyond The Door(Italian rip-off of The Exorcist, but a mother is possessed, that movie haunted me for years) Race With The Devil The Shining '80 The Omen The Evil Dead As a teen- Pet Sematary Texas Chainsaw Massacre Repulsion As an adult- Session 9 Ringu The Orphanage |

I loved the changeling. George C Scott. I watched it over and over. Yep, that was scary for me. I really always have preferred stories about ghosts. Idunno if anyone remembers The Other with Diana Muldour. That was good too if I recall childhood scary movies. The Other is excellent(as is the book it's based on) |

In my mind I had cast Clint and he did well. Misery. Kathy Bates name will live in infamy along with nurse Cratchet. |

I've never seen the changeling. I went to the website and noticed that Jeffrey Donovan who stars in Burn Notice plays a police detective in it. I think I will look for it on Netflix.
Its weird how every movie seems to have a website of its on these days. http://www.changelingmovie.net/ |

It looks interesting too. |

"Silence of the Lambs". Hannibal the cannibal, and Billy were horrifying! i love that movie it never bothered me at all When Hannibal the cannibal, was beating that prison guard, with his billy club, till he was nothing but a bloody pulp. And he was, listening to classical music, and enjoying every bit of it, when he did it. Then he peels off the guards face, and puts it on his, so they think HE'S the guard, to escape. And when he spoke, about the people, he had eaten. And Billy, the freak who wanted to be a woman, so he kidnapped large size woman, and stuck them in a deep hole, he had dug, in his basement, and starved them to death, so he could skin them, for the "skin suit" he was making. His "woman skin suit". You didnt find that horrifying? |

Buffalo Bill was inspired by real life killer Ed Gein(who was also the inspiration for Psycho, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Deranged...), and other real life serial killers were used to flesh him out...Buffalo Bill wearing a cast on his arm and needing help was inspired by Ted Bundy. |

I don't like sick movies like that.
Hannibal Lector was quite pleasant for a monster. I found his calmly eating the brain of a sicko serial killer .. while the killer was still alive tied to his dinning room table to be quite horrifying. |

The Hellraiser movies, with pinhead and his cenebite buddies, comes to mind as probably one of the scariest I've seen I also have the entire "Saw" series....love the story line in that. Have you ever seen "Night Breed" by Clive Barker? |

I think the worse serial killers were, Henry Lee Lucas, and Ottis OToole. When they described how they had murdered entire families, ect...it was horrifying to listen to. And of course we cant forget John Wayne Gacy, the party clown for kids........NOT. Jeffrey Lee Dommer, was pretty horrific too. Ted Bundy, The GreenRiver killer, and the list goes on and on. Wanna hear something REALLY SCARY AND TRUE. We have in our wonderful world, "Recreational Serial Killers". They work from 9-5, Monday-Friday, and on the weekends, they kill people. I study them, so I know how NOT to be one of their victims, by getting inside of their minds. |
