I suspended my account here quite some time ago. I can't remember for sure why. However, Having reactivated it and had a quick look through the profiles of women searching for men I SUSPECT that ONE reason is the number of them using the term "Looking For Mr Right" as their catch-line. This is so old, tired and clichéd that it is not just boring, it's alienating. "Mr Right" sounds like some unobtainable, ephemeral being along the lines of an asexual "Heathcliffe" that I find it instantly off-putting and thus just immediately pass those profiles by. I assume, in doing so, that the women involved are emotionally stunted and sexually arid. Personally, I do not care to even think of being "Mr Right" but rather "Mr Okay", "Mr Flawed, But Will Do", Mr Will Give It All I Can But Insist On Having Fun". What is other men's take on this? Do you just find it judgementally off-putting? Are the women here surprised at such a view? If you're not, why do it? Why set out from the word go to achieve a success rate of zero? Why bother putting your profile here? Why alienate the majority of men from the word go? I don't think it should matter what one writes on their profile as they have the freedom to express what they want or don't want. Really who are we to judge? The solution is simple; you don't like someone's profile; then look at others.

I am looking for I can embrace his quirks and he can embrace mine and we can live in the same house with our quirkiness and be happy. Oh and must love my dog and not be allergic to the cat.

"Hoss and Little Joe discover a hole in the Ponderosa's fence while investigating some missing cattle." Tell me how is that any worse than most of the profiles that are out there now....!?

They are all about that deep and meaningful. I often tell men, I am not a 70s tampon ad. I have no desire to hike, bike, swim, and ride horseback, etc. but they don't get it. I also do not want to go for moonlight walks on the beach. I live on the beach. There are holes in the sand and you will twist your ankle in the dark. I do not want to lay on the rug in front of the fire. I have a fireplace, it will singe your hair.
