Topic: Can an Online friendship survive... | |

sorry didn't mean to divert from the topic - but yes - I would want to meet eventually too...but not unless there is a reason... I agree but it wouldn't be 'eventually' for me. It would be within a month if not sooner depending on distance and work commitments etc. Within a month? Even if it's an expensive flight that you have to take to meet? |

I have met females online who have become very good friends of mine, offline we have met and become some of the closest friends. We dont live nearby but we travel now to see each other and online we talk a lot. I am grateful i have them.. I agree. I think it's more likely that female friends who form online friendships are more likely to stay in contact when they meet face to face. I don't really think it's a male/female thing, as it's the men I've met and stayed in touch with. |

I believe if you meet with the intention of keeping a friend, it may be less disappointing if that friend does not end up wanting romance in the end. I think it's easier for woman to remain in contact with other women when they meet in person following a lengthly online friendship. I just don't think that it would be the same if it was a male/female friendship - You may stay in contact for a couple of months but it wouldn't be a friendship that would last for years JMO. |
