Anyone ever been on a blind date...If so how did it turn out?

ive been on blind dates. some guys were ok and some were not all that great (on both looks and personality) on the ones that were bad, i had to make a clean get-away.

Been set up without warning or consent ... showed up for drinks with friends only to find out they found a single guy and spent the night forcing us to talk... neither was interested in the other...

Been on about 6, a oouple of them were really great (instantaneous click), one was really, really awful, the rest were OK. I think you have to go into it without tremendous expectations; I try to look at it like "I'm going to spend some time getting to know a new person!" and if it really works out, that's just a nice bonus....
