Working in a mostly female environment the philosophy of branding has taken on a whole new meaning for me. I used to think that it was just something that ranchers would do with cows in watching the Westerns. That the idea was to make the cows and bulls marked to cut down on cattle rustling. In the good shows one could watch where some dishonest ranchers would try to alter the brand to make it look like another brand. Also there were the branding of sharks where the male shark would brand the female shark. It was like the bite marks would show at first to others in the ocean but the marks would disappear till only other sharks would notice the invisible brand. The same type of occurrence I have noticed where I work but it isn't as noticeable and seems different. It reminds of when I had to take this psychological test and have what it seems the same question but asked many times but the question was slightly altered. One of our female aides had to work and missed her marriage because of work. But she wears the ring proudly and flashes it a lot. I thought it was a pretty ring but can't remember which hand it was on.

I used to think that hickies were harmless until I noticed that they seem to be common where I work. I thought there might be an outbreak of vampire attacks but think it is just a revamping of branding.laugh

They are every where. It is like a revolving door on the place but some do stay.

I've seen LOTS of places like that. Especially ones that hire alot of teenagers. Whether it be because they still live at home and don't really NEED to work, so get a few bucks in their pocket and are out of there. Or they think they should be getting million $ paychecks after 2 months and figure the grass is greener on the other side. Or don't realize that it's called 'work' because you actually have to WORK. Don't get me wrong though. I've seen PLENTY of grown adults who do the same thing. I'm not saying that high turnover rates are always because of the mentality of the employee though. Some places just suck to work for! laugh
