I did not want to be rude, but Tribal is a style of art.I think the closest I can get to a tribe is hanging with the Vikings. haha. that's kinda my point. tattoos are art. tribal tattoos are a fad. My first Tribal was at 18 years old, My second was at 28 years old, This will be at 39 years old, not a fad for me. Please do not take wrong ;) |

i still think they're a fad though. i don't get why most people get tribal tattoos. i see it as if i were to get a celtic knot tattoo. i'm mexican. wtf? |

For me they make a bold statement even if I do not know the root and meaning of the design. They are also neutral as not to offend those that are easily offended.

Personally I hate all tattoos, no offense to anyone, it is just my opinion. So needless to say, if you must get one,get one you can hide!

I have actually been playing with the idea of a family tat...some design, symbol that has some meaning to us as a family unit..initially the adults get it,...then as each child reaches some age..say 16 maybe they get it as a right of passage...kinda bringing the tribal spirit into a modern family...of course been thinking about this for probably 15 years now..
