Topic: How boring is your life?

I once complained that my life was boring and then all hell broke loose. It wasn't good -- but it was certainly exciting enough that I wished my life was boring again.

I decided I liked boring.... as apposed to disasters and problems, so be careful what you ask for...

My life is so boring now that I watch television and a netflix movie at the same time while I work on updating my website.

So tell us how boring your life is.

I spend all day on line, either writing, or doing research for my writing, or avoiding writing. If the weather is OK, I will go take a 10-to-15 mile walk, then I come back and get on line again.

I never talk to anyone (in person), I never see anyone, and, other than the walking, there is really no place to go and nothing else to do.

It's gone beyond boring, it's stiflingly boring. It's as if I'm the only one on the planet anymore. The only contact I have with living, breathing (hopefully) humans is on sites like this.

I prefer the term "stable". No news is good news and that't the way I like it.

I hope not. The only storms I like are the ones from Mother Nature.

Why does it have to be either boring or disasters and problems?

I rarely ever get bored. There's always something to do. I find that the people who complain about being bored all the time put no effort into going out and living life for the most part.

A ten to fifteen mile walk?

At an average speed of three and half miles an hour, (about average for a person in good health), that's about sixteen to twenty minutes a mile, that is three to five hours? That's one ell of a walk.

Yeah, I do that whenever possible. It takes a few hours, there's a nice little lake I can stop and sit by, some days I will bring a notebook and do some writing while I'm out there.

I've always done a lot of walking. When I was a kid, I kept reading articles about athletes, and they always said, "The legs are the first thing to go." So I've always made an effort to keep mine in top condition.

You misunderstand. I'm not the least bit bored myself. I'm never bored. I love what I do, I love painting, relaxing, watching movies etc. I love learning and reading.

But being bored is not the same thing as leading a somewhat peaceful and boring life.

If I were to write a book about my actual life it would bore other people.

I'm not bored with it at all, it's just not interesting to others or it does not interest others.

Example:

Dear Diary,

Today I sold two small paintings at the art show booth and I made $95.00. I won an "honorable mention" on one of my paintings in the show. The judge was horrible and picked an ugly painting of a cow for the Best of Show and it was really awful. (Any one of my four paintings that I entered was better and executed with tens times the skill.) The judge thought she was a good impressionistic artist, but her work was butt ugly and her judging was butt ugly.

And this was a busy day. My cousin was here for a visit. We ate lunch at Love's subway.

(Not like: gee, I went para sailing today and crashed on a garbage barge, or Like: I went sky diving and my parachute did not open and I had to use my spare chute.)

That's a great idea. I was walking for a while but I stopped. I need to start doing that again.
