Lots of people are divorced because they never listen to God or even believe He exists in the first place; so they go about using human wisdom in choosing relationships, only to regret later. Now that you once again seek to satisfy that human craving for companionship, I urge you to do it with Wisdom: Seek God!

Just because someone is "religious" doesn't mean they listen to God all the time and or obey what God tells them.

actually religion has nothing to do with God. religion is mans attempt to get close to God. christianity is not a religion it is a relationship

To listen and obey God is not an easy thing to do. It takes a level of spirituality to hear, and loads of faith to obey. singmesweet, God may point you towards a man who doesn't seem to meet your expectations. Unknown to you he's the one that'll give you much happiness. I know some divorcees who wish they could rewind their lives because they took the wrong turn. It's about being practical. Following the bible and treating women like second class citizens as it tells you to, is not something that will reduce the divorce rate in this day and age.

The bible doesn't make women to be second class citizens. Men are to love and cherish their woman and take care of them. Women are not any bit less then a man, nor does the bible teach this.

cowboy you are right. the problem is that people will interpret the bible the way they want. if you approach the bible with an idea in mind you can prove that idea in the bible. whatever that idea is.
you would not read the front of the newspaper as if it were a comic strip written to entertain you and make you laugh. you also would not read the comic strip as if it were serious front page news. the bible is the Living Word of the Living God and needs to be approached and read as such

I think God is there in our conscience and many who dont listen to that 'voice'(whatever they call it),,find themself making wrong choices in life about everything from career to life partners


that voice tells us all, whether we are believing it is God or 'logic',,,whatever we attribute it to,, its there and more people should listen to it

it does not say to treat them as second class,, it says treat them as Jesus treated the church, for which he literally was willing to DIE,, I dont think that is second class
