Topic: SEEK GOD! | |
---|---|
Lots of people are divorced because they never listen to God or even believe He exists in the first place; so they go about using human wisdom in choosing relationships, only to regret later. Now that you once again seek to satisfy that human craving for companionship, I urge you to do it with Wisdom: Seek God!
Agreed? |

I could not agree more. Praying and seeking God's wisdom should be the first step in any important decision in our lives

jrbogie, you're an example of this fact. :-)
mykesorrel, am not married because am waiting on God. You should seek his face before you take that decision or you may regret it like half of the world's population. soldierforamerica, thanks for speaking the truth. |

How do you explain all the religious people who are divorced? Or, the non-religious people who are not divorced? |

Just because someone is "religious" doesn't mean they listen to God all the time and or obey what God tells them. |

actually religion has nothing to do with God. religion is mans attempt to get close to God. christianity is not a religion it is a relationship

To listen and obey God is not an easy thing to do. It takes a level of spirituality to hear, and loads of faith to obey. singmesweet, God may point you towards a man who doesn't seem to meet your expectations. Unknown to you he's the one that'll give you much happiness. I know some divorcees who wish they could rewind their lives because they took the wrong turn. It's about being practical. Acting out your faith takes a lot of courage. CowboyGH, you're always spot on. joy4good, thanks for supporting.

Following the bible and treating women like second class citizens as it tells you to, is not something that will reduce the divorce rate in this day and age.

Following the bible and treating women like second class citizens as it tells you to, is not something that will reduce the divorce rate in this day and age. The bible doesn't make women to be second class citizens. Men are to love and cherish their woman and take care of them. Women are not any bit less then a man, nor does the bible teach this. |

If i could be bothered, which i can't, i bet i could find more quotes from the bible to suggest my claim to be correct, than you could yours. But i am glad you interpret this aspect of the bible in the way you do. |

Following the bible and treating women like second class citizens as it tells you to, is not something that will reduce the divorce rate in this day and age. it does not say to treat them as second class,, it says treat them as Jesus treated the church, for which he literally was willing to DIE,, I dont think that is second class that second class stuff is a misleading interpretation made up from the hearts and minds of the selfish.... |
