"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice,

and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him,

and he with me."

Revelations 3:20

(king james version)

Religion is man reaching up to God.

Relationship is God reaching down to man.

Man gets saved by God first drawing him, and gently knocking on

his heart's door.

Again I say that there is no reason to seek God.

In my opinion, we are here to live many lives - and for the expansion of the universe and consciousness, not to play hide and seek with God.

Agreed, and God can be felt all around, we don't have to jump through any hoops, read any books or say any prayers to know God. All we have to do is look around us.

Depends on what church you go to Cowboy.

Don't listen to "church". Listen to what God tells you through the scriptures. Keep things in context in your reading. Again, a man is to love and cherish his wife, actions speak louder then words, love is not shown by a man by griping, complaining, or controlling his wife to absolutely make sure dinner is on the table. Something may have come up, a kid got sick or anything. The word Christian, has the root "Christ"ian. We are to be patient and loving towards everyone, and this is not shown by griping and or complaining cause something didn't happen in the time they expected it to, or even if it doesn't happen. Maybe the wife wasn't feeling good, or any many possible reasons. God teaches us to have compassion to one another and again this is not shown by doing as such.

And yet that SAME God also sees women menustrating as "unclean" yeah that's a God that REALLY has women in high regard.......(sarcasm).

Ok found what you were talking about. But it's not the unclean as you're portraying it. It is literally unclean, as in dirty. Women in those days did not have tampons, pads, ect. So imagine how "dirty" a woman would be when her menstrual happened. Notice it even specifically says "sit on" will be dirty in verse 23. This gives great evidence of what I'm saying. It's not unclean in a sense of sin, it's unclean in the sense of being a mess.

Leviticus 15:20
20And every thing that she lieth upon in her separation shall be unclean: every thing also that she sitteth upon shall be unclean.

23And if it be on her bed, or on any thing whereon she sitteth, when he toucheth it, he shall be unclean until the even.

This especially stands out:

In Colossians 2:9 we are told in so many words,

"For in HIM DWELLETH ALL THE FULLNESS OF THE

GODHEAD BODILY[in a bodily form]."

Here again we might REST OUR CASE ,

for what has been said under this heading, even if taken ALONE,

CLEARLY PROVES the ABSOLUTE DEITY OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.

It shows that HE POSSESSES EVERY PERFECTION OF NATURE AND

CHARACTER that GOD THE FATHER POSSESSES .

We really can't find God on our own because he is Spirit. It is God that finds us if we have love in our hearts. Scientists have even found out that man's brain is wired to seek God, which means that subconsciously we all know that He exists. I am sure that if we can keep away from sin God will not be adverse to drawing us closer to himself.

Agreed and kudos to you JB for being a born again Christian. Christ in us and we in him is the start of the Christian's supernatural relationship with God. I have found the most powerful spiritual experiences in life with Christ in me. This is the life.flowerforyou

I'm not what you would call a professed "born again Christian."
But I know what Christ is, and it is within. drinker
