Are all of you Texan's Minglers safe from this?
Anybody in the path?

We seem to be safe at the moment. There were fires yesterday below Hallettsville, a really big one in Bastrop, one out towards Vsetin, another in Sweet Home, several around Gonzales, and one on 90A that I'm not sure about. The grass fire in H'ville got to within 200 feet of town. Oh, and La Grange lost a historic house. The news was they did not have to evacuate St. Mark's Hospital after all but they were prepared. The wind gusts did not help at all! Hope you are faring well with this awful weather.

Getting way too much rain in Ohio... would like to be able to send some to Texas..

one is getting pretty close to my son's house in Diana just north of Longview. this whole city smells like smoke right now.

Glad to say, most of them are out right now....some got pretty close to me, but not as close as at Tanner's house...rain looks like it's coming this way this weekend....got my fingers crossed!

There was a big rain last week that helped a lot. I didn't get any but the hot zone between Houston and Austin where the really big fires got rain. Thousands of trees are dying around Houston from drought.

I hope the Salvation Army building is safe in Longview. I used to work there. A minister gave me some money on the Bank of Tyler when I was leaving the Longview steel mill. That fire must be getting close to Texarkana. There is another good Salvation Army there.
