I believe in karma...and she is a b*tch!

I finally got the nerve to meet somebody off this site in person. I got myself all done up, and headed out. Pulling out of my complex, i was hitting call on my cell to call him.

Right at this time...A car smashed into me. totaled my car, and broke my ankle. I am ok now, just still rattled.

So now, is this karma giving me a sign not to meet him, or what...im so confused....

I am glad that you are not badly hurt and without wishing to be cruel, I would think that Karma was telling you not to use your cell phone while driving and nothing more. If the guy still wants to meet you and you still want to meet him, then why not go for it. Karma doesn't usually use overkill to get her message across.

That's not karma. You did not have your full attention on the road.
Now, get your crutches and go meet that other person.

Since you were in your car, and got hit by a car...I think that would be called carma.

Well, a car smashed into you, so I take it it wasn't your fault. So I am kind of confused, although karma or warnings come in different ways.

What have you done that makes you think it was karma? If you haven't done anything, Then take it as a good sign not to meet him. I've had a few of these, although it wasn't a car wreck. Hope you are doing ok.

good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people.

since karma and fate are more spiritually based and can take a lifetime to come to fruition, it is not so easy to judge individual events such as this. what you need is time, time to reflect and weigh the resulting consequences; time to allow the cause and effect to run its course. the effects experienced are also able to be mitigated by actions (you can chose to go forward with your plan another time)and are not necessarily fated. so a particular action now is not binding to some pre-determined future; it is not a simple, one-to-one correlation of reward or punishment, it can be much more complicated than that.

one thing I am most curious about however, is your use of the word ‘finally’. it seems you have been here for a very short period of time. (just a few days, not really all that long) the fact that you are questioning whether or not you should peruse this meeting, because of what most likely is simply a car accident, makes me wonder if you are truly comfortable with it in the first place.

People mainly use karma as a weapon to ward off any individual that may be of any possible harm to them. Not sure it really exists though. Your car accident, and meeting up, are two seperate things. What reason do you have for thinking it's karma?

I don't see that it was karma that got you........you were doing something that you should not have been doing on your cell not paying attention.

To me Karma is what happens to those that do bad things to other people then it comes back around to bite them in the azz and bad things happen to them.

I think a lot of people imagine links between totally unconnected things or circumstances.

i agree... i no longer believe in karma anyway... i think life is just a bunch of unrelated things happening randomly... life is chaos... dont over thing things, girl...

where's our update on this whole situation, anyway???
