Age is irrelevant if you like each other.

Not necessarily. I guess it would depend on what you're looking for, though.

I've been dating a 33 year old, we have a blast and talk about the same things together. Isn't that what's important?

We all have different preferences.

I will be 33 this month and could not see dating someone who is old enough to be my father. There would just be too many differences. Plus, we'd be at different places in life. But, if it works for you, great!

I can just tell you what I've seen,, many women have adopted what most men have always done,,,,go for the younger ones IF their looks are of THAT to land one?
And as I've seen this Independent women who have their lives in order,,they feel cheated from having their man maybe in past doing this split up,,and going for a younger lady,,,
SO THEY NOW only date the younger dudes...
I'm not say that ALL older women have this mind set,,but MANY do.
They have told me older dudes just cannot keep the pace with them that they like,,I mean in most daily stuff here,,not just in the bedroom...SO,,younger works for them.
I don't feel that anyones SEARCH should be based on what someone did to them,,I feel that no matter what ages are involved,,it NOT A MOTIVE,,,,its rather IF you both FEEL a real LOVE igniting within you,,,,HOW YOU BOTH FEEL,,,is what MAKES LIFE WORK,,,NOT what you both think your just TRY as to see what thats all about?
Personally I consider myself a realist,,and I have turned down MANY ladies who were or are under thirty,,,,
WHY you may ask??
because WHAT IF THEY OR WE FELL INLOVE?
SHE WOULD BE TAKING CARE OF ME AT SOME POINT AND THEN I BECOME HER PAIN,,,EVEN IF SHE LOVED DOING FOR ME,,,
I KNOW,,,THATS GOING TO HAPPEN SO WHY WOULD I ALLOW THAT TO BE HER LIFE WITH ME?
And its through THIS QUESTION ABOVE,,,,I CAN'T GET PAST..
So I draw my lines as to my possible dates,,or mate..

Now could I have a wild night or weekend with someone under thirty,,oh hell yea,,,but,,THAT would be all that that was,,,and her knowing that going in,,,no pun intended there,,,LOL.

But truly YOU AND HIM,,are the only ones who MATTER here,,and this IS your likes or dislikes not what we have to go through..
So I wish you much love and success in finding your LIKES..

The only man that has been older than myself was my ex-husband, and he was two yrs older than me. Since then I've always attracted men who were 6-8 yrs younger and I like that. I don't think I could go for someone that much younger.

I have a friend who's mom always tell her go into all relationships with that down there and not this up here (motioning her hands at the privite area and the heart). I guess if you can do that then enjoy his company and have a good time. On that note age is just a number.

Just thinking....think think
...What will that person feel/think if he comes accross this topic?

He is on another site, not here. I already wrote him that I don't believe a word he wrote me. It was not real. I could tell. I hope he comes across it. I don't give a phuck.

Al right peoples,
I'm not the cougar type, ok? If you only knew me... you'd actually warn the guy to watch out.
Anyhow, I just responded asking him how come he never approached me before on campus? (Because he had stated he's a part time professor at CSULA.) I don't know peoples... I feel some fishiness in my gut. I'll know more soon.
To be continued. winking

A professor at 28 smells very wrong...(red flag)noway

Thank you. He graduated with a Masters of Fine Arts in Dramatic Writing in Film, Television, Theatre this past June. spock I'm around professors all day long and that at a VERY liberal University, so I know about them quite a bit. Well, who's to say I'm not a crazy psychopath. Maybe he should watch out who he's dealing with. (I can't find a psychopath smiley face.)

maybe this one--scared , hahaha or this one--surprised surprised

I must have missed these responses. rofl

****, I hate age threads...Jump in and hope you can swim, you only live once, why pass on anything at this point? Although it sounds like it didn't go so well, of course, anyone saying they're 28 and a professor probably should be looked at a little more indepth...You could always try that Goddamn stupid background check I see all the time on TV.

That's right, society apparently lacks honesty so we have to be fed their background on a computer screen.smokin

First off it's hard to believe you are 46, you look much younger, what about a 50 yr old, that thinks young, I tend to stay close to my own age, what would you talk about with someone so much younger then you, maybe that's just me though, have always found it hard to relate to a much younger woman, I am kind of past the club and bar scene at my age.flowerforyou

spock I am having fun reading everybody’s responses.

I just want to say that there are older women out there who may be happy with younger men (including myself) but don't fit the cougar description. I'm okay with up to 8 years younger than me (give or take). However, I am not very motherly and would not necessarily fit the confident, knows what she wants, label.

IF I ever dated a younger man, it would have to be because he is in to me for who I am, not an age related fetish. With this said, I declare myself non-cougar. Never was, never will be, even though I will always attract men who are few years younger and will be attracted to them.

Just an update:
This 28 year old guy was writing me long letters before given me a chance to respond to his first letter. He was treating me like I was some type of a Goddess and ending his letters saying “you’re in my thoughts.” Made me feel uncomfortable because it sounded very unreal. Plus there is no professor teaching what he said he was teaching at CSULA.

Liars get their pants on fires.spock

I spent 10 wonderful years with a man exactly 10years & 12 days younger, I will always have the wonderful memories we made together but in the end we were at 2 different places in life.
I will always love him and he knows this but it wasnt right anymore.
I would still date younger if it would happen again just not 10 years younger noway

Thank you. I don't act my age either. Authenticity is very important. More than age. So the point to it all is not someone younger is interested in me but what his agenda is, what his intention is... reason for the attraction, you know what I mean?

I know what you mean. You want someone to actually be into you, rather than be into you because you're older than they are, yes? The messages I've been getting from younger guys lately have been all about wanting to be with an "older woman." I get the idea that who that woman is doesn't matter.. laugh.

Over the last couple of days, I've had some emails from much younger men around 18 - 20. Each of them kept telling me "baby, age is just a number!"

Age IS just a number. Do you not understand this yet?

Soufie and I have an age difference....But, I don't care how young she is.....I LOVE HER.

Pull your head out man. Stop being so judgemental.

Your negative thing is wearing thin.

well I cannot speak for the other poster, but to me that replicated phrase "age is just a number" has become a worn out cliche used by young males who want to earn their stripes by being able to say they have bedded an older woman

it says to me that they do not see us as people but as conquests...no thanks

I am greedy. I want more than that. I want love, affection, attention, loyalty, sex, companionship sex, conversation, sex, and all of the other things that make up a relationship (did I include sex too)?

If the man I find that with is younger fine, but he must not see me as a number

also - age difference is not insignificant. Just as you 'd discuss having different religious, ethnic, or educational backgrounds, a significant age difference has to be addressed. It is one thing that is definitely NOT going to go away by being ignored - the feeling each partner has - fears or concerns they might have about the difference need to be on the table & open for discussion - even before her bottom is on the table and open for....well........ummmmmmmmmm

that's just too naughtylaugh devil
