Is there a way to enlarge pictures in Photoshop, that you want to post, without them getting blurry?

Or, is there any way of sharpening them up, once they are enlarged?

Thanks Luvflowerforyou

You just answered your own question: Penis enlargement devices.

What you just said, is one of those.

It only works on webcam pics of male chatfriends when you use it in Photoshop.

Luv the problem is the number of pixels available. What size is the picture and what is the resolution?

Let's keep the math easy.

What if you had a 4 x 6 image that had 100 pixels per square inch

4 x 6 x 100 pixels/inch = 2400 pixels spread over 24 square inches

Now enlarge it to 8 x 10 ... that is 80 square inches compared to the 24 square inches in the 4 x 6 ... but the number of pixels doesn't change. It is like adding a bunch of extra space between the dots. To increase clarity you essentially need to fill in those empty spaces with the right colour so your picture looks seamless. Not really something you want to do manually ... you can but it is very time consuming and about as exciting as watch concrete dry.

2400 pixels/80 square inches = 30 pixels per inch ---a huge loss in clarity from 100 pixels per inch

Depending upon the size and resolution of the pic you are starting with, you'll have varying levels of success.

You can try Sharpenerpro - it is a photoshop plug in ... you can download a free 15 day trial. It might do what you need done in the short term.

People often make them small on purpose so that when they're enlarged they will purposely become blurry. Some people also shrink them just to cut down on the email size so the mail will open up easier and faster.

You can't stop that because the pixels simply spread apart. The same thing would happen if you had the picture enlarged from a smaller one professionally. Some programs have a bit of sharpening built in but they can only sharpen minimally.

The higher the megapixels on the camera that took the picture, the more you will be able to enlarge it without making it blurry. For example, if you try enlarging a picture taken from a 5 MP camera versus a 14 megapixel, you won't achieve nearly as much.

The best thing is to go to the source of the picture (if that person is available), and ask if they can resend it in the "original size" it was taken.

If they took the picture with a 2 megapixel camera, however, you may be out of luck because the original size won't be very big to start with.
