There are exceptions to every rule, of course, but as a rule, I wouldn't
do it.

If I wanted to get with a friend's ex, or if the ex approached me about
getting together, I'd have a heart-to-heart with my friend and be
completely honest...holding back nothing. If the friend were COMPLETELY
cool with it and gives their best wishes, you could give it a try.

i wouldn't date a friends ex. i don't care how they feel about it.

Couldn't do it. That would be like dating your sibling's ex.

NO WAY!! That's just an accident waiting to happen! Let's say you want
to hang with your friend and their significant other. Well, you'd feel
like a third wheel and you'll be damned if you're going to bring the ex
over!! In due time, the friendship will be doomed! The term true
friends are forever is the TRUTH!! Don't jepordize that for ANYTHING!!
So, in my opinion....NOPE!! Not a chance! Or maybe when worms grow
ears...then I might consider it.

I think time is a big issue on this topic. A friend of mine dated an ex
of mine about 15 years after I did. Knowing people change little over
the years I warned him. He married her and came home early one day and
found her in bed with a man and a woman. We had no problems because he
dated and married her. Hell this girl and I talked about our high school
days and her brother(a friend of mine who is no longer with us) alot of
the time.

Dating a friends sister also worked for me back then. But the friend
asked me to go out with her. This is the same girl mentioned above.

Dating a fresh ex or long term relationship ex could cause problems. So
each case has to be thought out and talked out.

I would never date a friend's ex, it's like a huge focking stab in the
