just though it was an amusing political stand point, the yahoo, snap shots of the week include one where hackers redid a traffic warning sign to read, "impeach obama" Perhaps people are noting that change for the sake of change isn't always the best path...

Unfortunately too many people are all whipped up to haterate and not to organize. A liar, correction, pathological liar like Obama comes along and everyone is hot to believe because a black man is making a stand. People are such ID10Ts.

or voting their minds, just as they did for Obama,,,,

I recall the same sentiment about Bush and he didnt run on a campaign of 'change',,,,

between a Mcain/Palin ticket, and an Obama/Biden

it just happened that a majority of people felt more comfortable with the latter than the former,,,,,

I believe something quite different, I believe the majority of the people who voted for obama, voted for reasons other than sound politics...My sentiments have not changed, and for both of bush's terms i was unable to vote and quite honestly too young to truly care about how politics could affect my daily life. Ahh, to reminisce about the freedoms of privileged youth, the ability to care or not without consequence....

I remember an electronic traffic sign in bumper to bumper stop and go traffic on the freeway that said, "delays ahead".

So now traffic signs are pointing the way to a better future?

Understanding how war works, for starters, particularly when you are in the middle of one. Platforms so often are nothing more than a box you stand on to make you seem more important while you are speaking. Understanding welfare for another, without allowing people to become lazy and co-dependant. The problems with any election are that you must pick between the lesser of two evils, especially when dealing with a populace, who for the most part are ignorant of sacrifice

It could very well be true, lol, who knows, maybe the guy with the cardboard sign is correct, and the end is near, or maybe he really will work for food, you never know till you give it a try lol

ok, but there are a long list of 'evils'

economic , educational, healthcare, national security, civil rights

WHICH evil provides the more 'politically sound' logic for picking between one of two candidates?

Welfare has been a non issue for years, since welfare reform. As far as IM concerned. So IM left, as a logical voter, with concern for the economy, our security, our educational system, and civil rights.

Considering both candidates were part of the government which was in office when the economy was going downhill, there was no clear cut decision on that front.

As far as education, I trusted that the man who had been an instructor, at the top of his class in college, raising children who were also at the top of their class would have a high priority on education. I really didnt see a history of what the other candidate did or believed in that regard.

As far as healthcare, I trusted the man who wanted healthcare for all in a system that would no longer require people to choose between health costs and their mortgage. The other man seemed to be for the status quo that we already had been using.

As far as national security. I believe building diplomatic relationships is every bit as important as being seen as the biggest and baddest. I Trusted the man whose answers in debate and political forums coincided with that belief. THe other candidate seemed mostly a gung ho, ex pow, shoot first ask questions later type.

As far as civil rights, neither candidate had much to say about it.

.. so my decision was between two tickets and I chose the one I felt would be better. I wonder why the assumption that others didnt make their choice for the same reason?
