Actually BBQ nanners are excellent. Peel, cut in half lengthwise, wrap in foil and place on pit or grill. In 20 to thirty minutes they will be yummy. Variations are to pour on a little honey, butter pats, Cinnamon, or Kalaua ... or any mix of the above.

Actually BBQ nanners are excellent. Peel, cut in half lengthwise, wrap in foil and place on pit or grill. In 20 to thirty minutes they will be yummy. Variations are to pour on a little honey, butter pats, Cinnamon, or Kalaua ... or any mix of the above.

I have just opened the peel, added some yum and put on the grill that way.

Right, me too. You wouldn't want to leave a peeled banana on the grill for twenty minutes. We grill pineapple and peaches directly on the grill too for nice little grill-marks and extra flavor. But the bananas we have gotten the most raves about were wrapped in foil to keep the Kuala in and to soften the entire fruit and to help the caramelzation process along. I serve it with Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla ice cream.
