how can a true child of God overcome the temptation of this world????

I dont know if there is such a state as complete or total overcoming,, when it comes to living in this world

we will always face new temptations, and more and more of them will be culturally accepted and promoted and made 'popular' and 'normal',, and who doesnt want to feel popular and normal?

I dont know if its ever possible to completely defeat every temptation simultaneously,,without living in seclusion or amongst others who have found a way to do the same


all we can do is our best,,,,

Perhaps you should look at the "temptations of the world" as what they really are...

They are your own temptations. Once you realise that, it's easy to resist. At least that's what works for me.

I totally agree. Know what tempts you and then take action, whether it be prayer, sharing with others who will help you, removal from the thing or person, etc.

"Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed
lest he fall.

Go to church every Sunday, Wednesday, and participate in any activity they provide. You going to be so busy don't going to have any time to think about this World. You'll be living in another.

Temptation can happen anywhere.

The journey in this world is full of temptation, i guess that's why God sent his only begotten son to this earth inorder to teach us how and why we must be holly.
After his exit, his disciple wrote a manual which is the bible for the xtian. So every child of God must study this manual every day and put into action what they have read.
Secondly, a good xtian must be prayerful.
God said "pray without reason".
