All of a sudden I am thinking tacos, thats finger food depending whats in them.

I got ice cream today and a bottle of hersheys chocolate syrup, oh yes thats what I am having for dessert later.

Tonight I got played for a fool. My good nature got the best of me. I like to give people the benefit of a doubt until they prove unworthy.

Tonight, I did a favor for someone I barely knew. He works with friends of mine, and became an acquaintance. We talked, but we were drinking. I was caught up in conversation. ADD does this. In short, I listened to the stories, and I had doubts. When he asked the favor, I did it reluctantly. He needed a ride. I gave him one. We talked, and though I seemed pleasant and we got along, I paid attention to everything knowing I would process it all later.

I drove this person, despite the stories he told, to make a deal to support his habit. I was hoping it was otherwise. I won't make the same mistake again. I will tell him like it is, and do it discreetly so he can save face. I want no part of it. Karma will bite him in the end. Still, I am disappointed.

I know I am not a fool. I know I actually played him as he played me. He bought me a drink. He took my gasoline. We're even on that score. Still, I feel dirty. I feel dirty because I know he will ask again, but he let me down - I will have to refuse him the next time. Eventually, it will cost him his job. Not because of anything I do, but because others already know. I did not. If not for this accursed ADD, I might have noticed the signs sooner. I feel like a fool even though I know I am not.

I post this not to seek pity, but only to vent my disappointment and frustration. Those of you who have followed my posts will understand. I may come across bitter and negative at times, but this is a slice of my life. This is why I beat myself up. I will get over it, but mistakes like this really make me question myself even when I should not.
