Truth is meaningless & useless if has to remain just objective & if never to be subjective.

Explain.

Why is it needed to explain?

..some people simply can't relate to the concept of other people's opinions.

Every person has a point of view. That is an opinion. Some people want others to explain their opinions because they have other ideas and they feel they are right and you are wrong.

But sometimes opinions are just opinions. Everyone is not always going to agree with everyone else.

There is not one right person in the world and the rest are wrong if they don't agree.

But there are people who simply like to argue.

Your logic is flawed.

An opinion is not always a claim.

Its just an opinion.

If you aren't actually interested in a person's opinion but instead only interested in proving them wrong and feeling that you are right, then why bother?

Unless you are unsure of your own thinking.

Argumenting ability is good one but pointless arguments does not make any sense even if one writes several articles. At the end of the day such peoples remains where they were....tired & bored!

Now I was wishing him to explain about why he need explaination was itself an illustration of the statement I made(As I have to be subjective while explaining & as whatever I said is going to remain meaningless & useless though TRUE,if I let it remain objective)

BTW...your statement "some people simply cant relate" struck me in two ways....1) He cant relate ( As I thought that you would have related & realised that he cant relate)
2) I cant relate ( As I also thought other way that u both did not get my intention to requestion him)

Anyways....I know u people are wise & opinionated,I was just putting my thoughts there. So dont worry much.drinker

Sorry for the ambiguity when I wrote "some people can't relate." I did not want to target any particular person.

I think people with similar minds can relate to each other. Abra and me can relate very well. Di and Creative can relate quite well too.

Some people can't relate to some other people whose minds work differently and whose experience is different.

truth is not what it is exactly there is a diffrence between truth and fact fact is what it is.. it doesnt need perception the fair perception of fact is the belief we call truth.. truth may represent something positively or negatively where as fact does represent both of the side.. i dont know truth is subjective or relative term its all about perception.. thats it..

An opinion does not become a claim just because it is stated. It is a self-report of feelings or personal judgment.

But I now understand what the problem with our communication is. You mistake and/or treat opinions as/for claims.

You want claims, not opinions. Opinions are inconsequential. Claims are statements about the real world.

You are not interested in others opinions because you do not have sufficient data to question or challenge them. It would be ridiculous to argue with someone's opinion.

Opinions often contain clue words pointing to oneself, e.g., I think, I believe, I feel, in my opinion, but very often they do not. Some people often mistake opinions for claims or just treat them as claims because they want to debate about the real world. They don't care about opinions.

There is no need to argue against opinions when they are recognized as self-reports rather than as claims about the real world.

Now that I know that you are not interested in (subjective) opinions, but only interested in(objective)real world claims, I think I will know how to understand and better communicate with you.

That it is "true" is an opinion (whether it is true or not)- and opinions are subjective.

prashant01, is that correct?
