Usually they contact me. Seriously. Throw yourself onto the forums and just be you. Once you have yapped enough...the people who relate to you will contact you. If you got nothing to say ....the people who got nothing to say will be the first ones who won't write you.

I dont know,, IM mostly contacted by 1. immigrants seeking a quick wife 2. young men seeking a quick time 3. minglers seeking further discussion of something on the board.... I prefer number three, it just sets a tone of an interest in conversation as opposed to winning/losing an 'argument'

You are the kind of woman that most men here would like to meet but, you are so hard that you would be lucky to have 2% meet your criteria. This is where it gets hard to not settle for less. Cause on the surface....you will have to settle for less...this is the downside of being good and pure. I wish coulda been the kinda man that you wanted...but, I was fortunate enough to be loved anyway. I am so fortunate that a good Mingle woman settled for less and let me love her. Consider the possibility that settling for less than your ideals can bring you the love you crave. I am not saying "less"....like you would settle for less than your due....I am talking about about just being loved....apprecieated....no strings...just loved..... That is where the right wing has problems...... We love you b!tch. Get used to it.

I disallowed anyone under 40 to contact me, so #2 stopped happening. #3 is happening more often. I really do read the profiles. If they have an interest or two in common, I write about that. Or if they have a similar point of view on the forums, I mention it.

What kind of messages do you send when you initiate contact with someone on a dating website? I only send initial messages to those people I find interesting in the the forums. I usually tell them what took my interest to take a look at their profile and that they could ignore my mail if they don't feel like sending me a reply. That there'll be no hurt feelings if they won't reply.
