The thread that got locked was only 43 pages so obviously it got locked for offensive posts. Which is what I thought was funny...usually these things only happen in politics or religion. Not food threads. 
Anyway, probably best to drop the subject so this new thread doesn't get locked as well and I won't have anywhere to tell all of you what I ate. Cause I know you are all just dying to know.

How the heck does a topic get locked in the Recipes/Cooking, Home and Garden Forum??? 
Okay....so, anyway...I got a new indoor grill and grilled talapia fish and summer squash and ate it with steamed rice. It was SO good! I only had red wine. I know you're supposed to drink white wine with fish, but I wasn't going out in this heat. And, it tasted fine.

Spending' the 4th weekend alone sucks but at least I get to eat good food, I slow smoked baby back pork ribs first with pure maple syrup and stone ground mustard, then after the fat started flowing out layering thick hoisin BBQ sauce till it was about a 1/4 inch thick, next was brown rice pilaf with toasted almonds peas, carrot & onion using low sodium chicken stock instead of water. Fresh sliced water melon, tomatoes out of my garden and fresh baked sour dough bread. I know it's alot but will last me the whole week end? Then about 600 hours on my treadmill, Ha! Happy 4th to all from a Veteran, Adios~

Threads are automatically locked once they get so big, it takes a while for it to be unlocked. I truly doubt that is the reason why it's still locked. My thoughts exactly, Ruth. I've been here long enough, Totage, to know why a thread gets locked and I also know that it gets unlocked as soon as the posts that caused the drama gets deleted and a warning given. My thread hasn't reached 50 pages and was only at part 3, and I've seen longer threads than that get reopened in a matter of minutes or hours. Of course, that made me wonder why, which I think anyone can excuse me with, since I am quite fond of that thread. |
