Everyone regrets the life they could have had if [fill in the blank here] did not happen.

What we do with the life we have in the here and now is what makes us happy, or not.

I think some people are capable of an enlightenment that helps them avoid that feeling at all costs

It's more like a 'what if'
not so much a regret as far as the kids thing.

I've thought before how different my life would have been if I would not have been so absorbed with raising children, in particular doing it alone. Your entire being, every move is centered around them. It affects your job, your relationships, your sleeping habits...everything!

I do know some women who have, had regrets.. most gave the kids up somewhere along the way. The situations I know, it was the best thing to do.

I think the happiest times and when I've laughed the hardest ever,
was with my boys. No regrets.

Personally i've NEVER regretted haveing my son, if he wasn't here i'd be devastated. I'm only twenty with a little boy who will be 2 in august, i met his dad when i was 14 stayed with him untill i was 19. Hes no longer around now and has nothing to with my son.. but still i don't regret haveing him and i cherish every day i have with him he puts the biggest smiles on my face!

Okay this topic may make parents heads roll, however I can not resist. Are there people who regret becoming parents? I was on a blog on the subject and parents admit although taboo, that in fact they regret having kids. I all around me I see people (women) having children for the wrong reasons. I have a pregnant niece and her situation is too dire to bring another life. Since she is no longer with the father, I wonder if she herself will live to regret getting pregnant early in a relationship? What are others thoughts...

Never in my life have I been so grateful! Having my children makes my life more meaningful. I feel that they are the more reason of my wonderful existence to this world. No matter what transpired in my marriage to their father, I would never regret having my children in this life. love

Not for a second. The only thing I regret is not being one sooner. Of course I've wanted to be a father since "Unborn heart", with the only thing truly stopping me is my choice in women.

I'll have to wait 28 weeks and 2 days more for it to be official and just know it'll be filled with new frustrations and challenges, but realistically, it's the things dreams are made of. I've found the greatest happiness when my thoughts were NOT centered around my own wants and needs and in fact, when I'm in that place, I'm the most fulfilled and happy. For the past couple of months, my fiance and I have been building up the nursery picking this and that, and if you'd see me in the stores, you'd think I was on something.

I have never for one minute regretted being a mom. My son is amazing and watching him grow and learn despite his special needs is truly an amazing gift. His ready smile and belly laughs make melt every single day.
