Oh and the spoiled will not be able to see the advantages they have had no matter how many times you explain it over and over and over.

Until they lose it.

Look how they cried and screamed when prayer to Jesus was no longer allowed in public schools.

there is no doctrine that states that children have to pray in school so I would imagine there were probably plenty of 'them' who were supportive of the 'fairness' suggested at such a removal (at a mandatory level, individuals can still pray at school if its not on the clock, so to speak)

so yeah, SOME of 'them' probably cried and screamed, but pretty much it blew over to be a non issue and most of 'them' continued to abide by the laws of the land

I don't have statistics in the way of numbers.... but the zealots screamed (and are still screaming) loud enough to appear to represent the majority. For a while, not a day went by that I did not get some email or hear someone griping about how the government is taking "God" out of the schools etc.

The problem is similar to the problem with whites in this country. Whites had an advantage whether they were aware of it or not. They made laws that catered to them and made it societally acceptable, preferable to be white in the white society. Unfair to those unwhites, hell yea, but did the whites see their advantage? In most cases no, even today they do not see it because they live in their body and it is white. Same thing with the spoiled Christians in this country who have had many advantages all along that are so common they cannot see them because they see from their Christian ideals and mind for that matter.

So we have to fight like minorities do to get fair treatment at this level.

And the fight is on.

Absolutely and the manipulators who wrote the bible knew that people would resist so they made sure to make Christian believe they would be "persecuted" so it is a fulfillment of prophecy to boot...lol

To take that further, line up everything that is happening directly along with the book, and you have a self fulfilling prophecy that we supposedly can't stop. It's all genius isn't it?

down right prophetic,,,lol,, predicting 2000 years worth of cultural and human reaction,,,,,

I think you underestimate the power of those running the show, INCLUDING religion.

not at all, I understand the power of prophecy fairly well,,,

That isn't what I mean. What I mean is, I don't think you understand just how deep the manipulation goes here. They control the entire thing.

reluctantly(Im almost positive there wont be an answer)

Id love three examples of laws in the US which somehow 'cater' to christians over others?

I mean I can look up the laws which actually included in their definition a distinction of race,,,but I cant think of any that cater to any religion,,,,

I don't really understand the nature of your questions.

I think since Christianity is the majority in this country, they (Christians) do seem to be privileged and maybe spoiled. One would not have any success running for an important public office if they were openly pagan or Muslim for example. A politician had better be Christian, a family oriented person, belong to a church, etc.

Until recently, all holidays like Christmas were 'Christian' holidays. And mention of a holiday associated with another religion was a foreign concept.

so do you believe that is a natural tendency in a 'democracy'? Dont you think that the majority, by this explanation, will be spoiled so long as the system affords the majority the right to make the rules?

is there an alternative system that would be more 'fair'?

someone would have to 'win' so to speak, if its not the majority, what would be a fair way to ensure that?

IF I live with four roomates, and all but one of us want certain things in the house,,,and therefore set to decorate it as such, are we being 'spoiled' or are we doing what would be expected and what that one sole person also wants to be able to do,,,,have it the way we wish to have it

is that being 'spoiled', is what Im asking?

is it being 'spoiled' because some didnt get what they wanted and others did, and if the others finally got what they wanted would they be equally guilty of being 'spoiled'?

Being spoiled is not "getting what you want" by majority rule, it is expecting always to get what you want and pitching a fit when you don't get it.

A really great book to read is "Black like me." It is the story of a white man who made himself "black" and lived as a black man to experience what it was like. A really eye opening book.

the difference here though is,, being 'black' is something people see a mile away,, they can just see a picture and make that assessment

religious FAITH is not so easily recognizable or labeled by others, its not something they can 'see' on you,,,,,(unless it involves certain customary clothing)

msharmony I'm quite sure you know what 'spoiled' means.

We as Americans, are all a bit 'spoiled.'

When you look at millions of people in Africa who are starving and living in camps, don't have enough water or food, who are running from war and violence.....

and we complain if the cable television goes out...

we are spoiled.

Perhaps, but Christians like to act like they are above everyone else cause they have the "truth" that no one else has. That seems like a spoiled attitude to me.....

Well and they will either learn that they need to concede the advantage and fall back to be equal to all other religions or they will continue to get their feelings hurt as the battle wages on.

I know I won't stop until it is fair for all.

on this we agree

my objection , if it can be called that, stems from the negative connotation of being described as 'spoiled' because or being in agreement with cultural or legal doctrines and boundaries....

is it negative that the majority should live in conditions they wish to live in unless they can be proven to be 'unjust' conditions

and what are the 'unjust' conditions non christians are subjected to in this country because of christians

its a sincere question because I am stumped every time I read this assertion,,,,,,

You could find out easily enough if you would put on a burka and live as a Muslim for a few months, or live and speak to people as a pagan or non-christian in your community, and see if you notice a very cold shoulder.

not related to actual laws of the land that subject others to a certain religion or 'spoil' one religion in particular,,,,
