For dating and making new friends

i feel ya on that, cause if i never found this site, i'd probably be down more than i could be.

I am moving to FL in the near future and I wanted to make friends my own age there ... at first. But there are so many diverse and interesting people on this site that I'd love to get to know ... and so it's become that I want friendship no matter where you're from.

I originally joined to date. Then to find someone special. Now, I am at a place in my life I am taking things slower and to be honest probably a bit afraid of dating/relationships after the last two or three...but working on it. So for now, I have met a few friends. Perhaps someday soon, I will be brave enough to actually date and be ready to find that someone special, again.

I am just here for the forums. I realized long ago there was no chance of ever meeting anyone on a dating site. However that is just me and I am not saying others won't meet anyone.

I will not tell a lie. I'm here for a man, lol. Seriously I joined hopefully to meet a nice guy who is ready for a truly long lasting relationship.

I'm here to find someone to drag my sister out of her cocoon. She has no idea I posted her profile...she may just kick my ***. Her standards are confusing the hell outta me. One minute she tells us she has nooooooo desire to meet someone new, the next, she is craving companionship but speaks of her "pretend" flame like he's straight out of a Richard Gere flick. I hate mixed messages. She won't let her self out of her comfort zone...(work & home) in order to "mingle" with whomever, because her "fantasy" standards are way off the chart at this stage in her life. I guess she's somewhat "socially retarded" because she was blissfully married for 25yrs & then blind-sided when the marriage ended. She knows nothing else right now. Man...am I ever a meddling sister! But...I don't care what other's think about me....cause this is about Her.

I think you love and desires to TRY and help your sis,,is really COOL of you to do...I hope SHE finds her one to call her friend on here,,and if not,,she has been shown,,YOU DO CARE ABOUT HER in your heart...I wish her much success in meeting her dreams...

here for dating, but seems like a lost cause. Everyone here says to join in the forums to find someone. ha ha, no one in my state is in the forums. I want to meet someone on here I could actually meet with in person on a regular basis. I've found out in my years on the internet, no one is who they appear to be online. It's just too easy to be something different or what you want to be. I also rely on vibes that people give off and you really only get a good feel in person. until my special someone pops into my area I'll keep posting mindless chatter in the forums hoping for someone to conversate with about lifes many perplexities.

Wow Frank, for someone still fairly young I am a bit surprised you even need to find someone online. Life's perplexities? I always thought it takes a whole lot more than 23 years of living to be exposed to life's perplexities. You still have alot of life ahead of you & depending on your outlook...most of it will be good...sometimes kafuddled & bemusing ...but still good. Good luck to you...sincerely.
