I originally joined to date. Then to find someone special. Now, I am at a place in my life I am taking things slower and to be honest probably a bit afraid of dating/relationships after the last two or three...but working on it. So for now, I have met a few friends. Perhaps someday soon, I will be brave enough to actually date and be ready to find that someone special, again.

Most that use this game are immature or grasping for the last hope of something working out, they do not consider that if it isn't working out a child is not going to help and game playing will finish off the relationship. Some think having a child will still keep you connected even if you are not together. A friend of mine his ex-wife tried the I am pregnant approach to save their marriage. It didn't and she was, but not with his child.

Call me old fashioned or tired of supporting men when it comes to who pays, but I think the man should pay. As one person on here said if they can't afford to buy dinner then you may end up supporting them.

Seriously, I think men should pay especially for the first date.

Other alternatives to finding out what one should do, is get to know the person a bit better before asking them out, or just ask them what there opinion is on the matter.

Another idea is for the man to say I will pick up the check if you don't mind? If she does, you can either say I will pay this time and you can pay next time or suggest she leave the tip.
