You know this is a topic all to itself. These bills are always so big that would be almost impossible to read through it all before it was voted on. This is by design of course, since they can slip in all sorts of things under the radar by making them that big that no one will be able to read through the entire thing.

Policing the Internet won't help much there.

My mother is 87 years old and twice I had to change her Bank account number and open a new account because they scammed her by telephone and convinced her to give them her bank account number.

No matter what we did, or who we called, nobody could do anything about these scammers. The phone company could not trace the call, they could not block the call, they could not do a damn thing. The FBI was not interested in wasting their time. Several other agencies I called, even the AARP could only advise us to change her phone number.

So I had to change her number, make it unlisted, and change two of her bank accounts to stop this from happening.

I am sure they called her through some sort of untraceable hacking Internet connection. Your general government or law enforcement agencies don't have a chance catching these criminals. They don't even want to be bothered.

But the bottom line is they got her bank account information FROM HER. She gave it to them.

This is not always the case. Sometimes when you buy something from the wrong people and give a credit card number or bank account number they can use that to electronically steal your money.

The banks can't do a damn thing about it either. When the money is gone, its gone. Your money is not safe in the bank. That is my conclusion.

But don't punish the Internet. Just take your money out of the banks if they can't protect you.

But nevertheless, policing the Internet to the extreme they want to do it is not the answer. It only hurts the people and the free flow of information.
