This thread is pertaining to the Chaos Theory (Butterfly Effect). Within every interaction of our daily lives, it will spawn countless others. Everything that we are now are the results of our ancestors from long ago; our knowledge, science, cultures, and everything we see around us, are the results of an act from thousands of years ago. With this in mind, every one actions, will have an influence on others; this may be very small, but it can always grow. Here's a good quote I made up on my facebook.

"My dear Padawan, the essence of life is but a circle. The end of one's existence is of certainty, but with each flutter of its' wings will bring about eternal influence; from its' ashes will new life emerge, and in itself will spring torrents amongst the ocean. (another Original)"

It doesn't just pertain to our actions, but also our essence, what we are made of. We are all made of the stuff of the stars! Religious people often find this extremely threatening because it goes against everything the believe in. Imagine one drop of water, within a years, it would have traveled around the world countless of times; making up your cells, your food, trees, rain.. etc. When someone dies, what made them who they are will eventually spread throughout the world and help to spring about new life. and so on.

Why do people have such an issue with conceptualizing this idea? Especially Religious people; it's totally logical and makes more sense than President Bush getting elected!

Apparently no one has a problem with it.

Not only got he elected, but TWICE!! In a row!!!! That's very unlikely and yet it happened.

I hear an effect is named after his Phoenix-type rejuvenation as a president. It's called the "butter-insect effect".

People all over the world are applauding the trials (pending, scheduled or planned) of major political leaders who ordered mass execution of innocent civilians, such as the Yugo (Serbian) General, and the Soudanese ruler, but people would be happier if justice was made to apply to all equally, of such calibre, and thus people would like to see Bursh be brought up on charges of Crime against Humanity. He ordered a huge number of civilians killed, by making hasty and bad decisions about whom to attack in a hurry back then. His sins include sins by ommission, such as not protecting the civilian rule and social order in countries which the US attacked. Most prominently it was a shame how the looters could storm the museums in Iraq and steal or rob from it artifacts going back thousands of years, and valued at numerous millions of dollars each.

For instance, the First Letter of Gilgames sold for $5,000,000 on eBay, and the teeth of the Jewish corpses who died in the Babylonian captivity in Biblical times fetched $600,000 each. The gold and other jewellery that the Jews brought out of Egypt were (some of it) kept in museums in Baghdad, and they are all gone to special Japanese and Siambalese collectors. The National Archives of Alexandria had some loaned out documents in that museum, stemming from 3,433 b.c., and they are now serving as papyrus-based wallpaper to keep the cold out in the Yurta of Ghinghis Georgi Slovotovich, the head of the geological team dispatched to outer Mongolia to find water and/or crude oil. The mummified heel of Achilles is buried by thieves and thugs in some unspecified spot underground under the Labyrinth of Pernessus the Barfer.

lol, yeah

the few funerals I have attended have actually contained the phrase

'ashes to ashes, dust to dust' or 'from ashes we came, from ashes we shall return'

so yeah, doesnt seem hard for me to imagine a God using some of the same 'material' for more than one of his creations,,,

Why do you think religious people can't "conceptualize" that idea?

Would it be perhaps that you can't conceptualize this???

"Hebrews 11:1-3
Today's New International Version (TNIV)

1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for.
3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible."

What the Ef?!?!? Something written 2000 years ago that science has proven? Holy shyte! Maybe you should retract that fallacious statement...

Atheists believe this too, minus the whole deity actually creating the person. It's not that hard to understand. Energy only changes, is never destroyed...
